I got a ggt. All is well. Fasted insulin can be difficult, not remembering if got up and ate or not. Then remembering ate four sting cheese sticks five hours prior to test , zombie walking, causing fasted insulin results to be sewed.Assuming these assays are not performed within 24-36 hours of a hard workout (as harmless elevations of these liver biomarkers will occur)….
It might be a good idea to get a GGT instead to rule out liver pathology…
As well as a fasted insulin sensitivity test to assess insulin resistance; especially if your diet consists of a lot of processed carbs and moreover, fructose, to rule out NAFLD - much more common than people think - especially if you’re not cardiovascularly fit. Even lean bodybuilders cannot rule this out.
*FBG and A1C are not adequate tests for assessing insulin resistance.
Yeah too much fructose a no no . A couple pieces of fruit is fine, generally. That's why it's good to take breaks and reduce carbs , even a couple or few weeks here and there. Further, if competing or dropping body fat, doing it in there as well. Thanks, friend
