Been progressively dieting for the last few months, but fell off the wagon quite a few too many times due to stress at work, which took a toll on my body and I ended up gaining in the process. Also not using the gym because they were closed the last few Months pretty much killed my motivation as well. Was using t3/hgh and caffeine pills...which I’ve been on for quite awhile and think my body got used to the chemicals so now I came off everything to clean my body out and so I can start fresh in a couple weeks, although am using my doctor approved TRT. Am probably at the heaviest I’ve been in 10+ years and it’s pretty uncomfortable :/. I’ve competed a few times in the past so I definately know how to diet..although I think my body kinda just got used to the dieting process, so not sure what to do at this point. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼😉
 
Been there, what is your diet like now? It's hard as hell for me to get back on the wagon once I've fallen off, but I've honestly relaxed my diet a bit, not be so worried about every little thing, and if I want something extra, I'll have it. That way it doesn't resemble a damn binge purge cycle that many of us are afraid to admit. If you've gained significant weight, chances are you're really not eating much of anything that's good for you lol, so I'd honestly start with just small things and clean up diet a bit. Save the calorie counting for when the dieting gets tough.
 
Intermittent fasting maybe?
 
It's impossible to know without more details. Although by the sounds of things I don't think you have the details either. Meaning you have probably just been eating quite a lot of bad foods and essentially give up for a bit. Nothing wrong with that and most people have been there in the past. It sounds like your body needed a rest from the fatburners and the low calories. The worst thing you could do right now is start restricting your body. Get your metabolic rate firing again and make your body work for you and not against you.

I would recommend you simply clean up your diet. Eat a balanced diet full of micronutrients. Lot's of healthy foods and balanced macros. Beef, fish, fruit (berries, avocado, apples etc), nuts, seeds and eggs etc. Feed your body and get your health/well being back up through a clean diet and some training. Can you go to the gym now or are they still closed where you are? If not just train at home and do cardio etc. I would do this for awhile then when you are back in a solid routine you can start looking towards adjusting calories and/or adding in any drugs.
 
If you’ve competed a couple times then you know the answer to every question you asked. Honestly, take a little mental break. Eat CLEAN at maintenance, then get back on the wagon.

real question, do u want to enjoy a cupcake for 15 minutes or do you want to look fuckin great with your shirt off for the rest of summer? That’s the question to ask.
 
Thanks a lot for the suggestions guys! It really means a lot to me, I’ve gotten a bit depressed over it lately since I was so used to always being super lean a lot of the time. My diet, has been 4-5 meals a day, complex carbs, lean meats, the usual...a 40/40/20 split (carbs/protein/fats) although sometimes, well a lot of times I substituted more carbs instead of proteins, while keeping calories the same, which has been 1800 a day average. I’ve done mostly carb cycling for awhile, having 2700 cals on Tuesday/Thursday and 1200 on mon/wed/fri. On the weekend , for about 36 hours I eat pretty much anything and everything I want. For me, it never did anything to hurt me with The Weekend binge, I’ve been having cheat days once a week since I was 19, so 20 years straight I’ve been doing that and it never hurt my fatloss. I even did cheat days leading up
To my contests...so I know that’s not what’s deterring my fatloss. Along with t3/gh/Eca stack(and my trt), I work out 4 days a week plus a couple hours cardio.
But you guys are right, I think I’m definately burnt out. So I’ll up my cals to maintenance 22-2400 cals, come off all fat burners/pills and workout an hour a day with 30-60
Mins cardio, for a good month before I start back dieting.
 
Stop cheating on your diet , your also getting older and your metabolism is slowing
 
What type of cardio are you doing? It might be time to change it up to HIIT (if you aren’t doing it now)
