Dieting on Low Fat/High Carb versus High Carb/Low Fat...

Carbs cause insulin dump and insulin is a fat storing hormone, for me 300 protein,100 net carbs,100 fat is working great.

Think that's where I'll end up further down line doing well on 150 carbs at moment though

When you are personally lean enough to get a "good response" from a carb refeed.

Meaning -- you now have a level of leanness that has increased your insulin sensitivity via upregulating your insulin receptors, so when you introduce carbs in abundance, you get temperature increase, cosmetic muscle fullness, essentially an INSTANT response.

That could be different for everyone as some guys could get to that point at 300g carbs a day from high activity, while others will need to be sucked down into 50-150g a day for prolong period of time.

I am getting leaner off 600g carbs precontest, but damn sure do not call for a "refeed" as everyday is feeling like one....

Perhaps when I reach my PERSONAL "depletion level" which could be 250-350g carbs I will require a very high day....

Damn! that's well more than twice my REFEED day haha

I do better on low-fat higher carb diets. Fat seems to come off faster and the muscle keeps a denser look (especially legs,
for whatever reason).

Sorry to be real awkwrd but -

Training days - high Pro & Carbs, low/med fat
Non training days - high Pro & Fat, low/med carbs

:p;)

I believe high carb works for most compared to high fat. High fat seems to work better for overweight people, even "fatter" bodybuilders, but high carb works for majority of bodybuilders.

High carb/low fat pros: more muscle fullness, more strength, more energy for workouts

high carb/low fat cons: joint pain, brain function, want to take naps all the time

high fat/low carb pros: lubricated joints, better brain cognition, more energy throughout the day

high fat/low carb cons: muscle flatness, less strength, less energy during workout

Have done both many times and taken many clients through both. I am a huge fan of high carb/low fat. Drop your fats out slowly and get shredded!!!!
