what kind of diets do you guys follow, 40-40-20, ketogetinic, etc.?

This is the one thing in my overall plan that I have really overlooked throughout my years training etc...

I've been off gear for at least 5-6 months...and have finally come to the realization that high carb is not for me...as I get too fat and bloated...at one point in my younger and dumber days i was taking in 1000g of carbs from white alone, not counting a few hundred more from other sources...

preparing for Marines OCS however, Ive come to the realization that a lot of carbs arent necessary at all...I now consume about 200 g of carbs a day and even with cardio-something i never bothered with in the past...I have no energy problem whatsoever...

what kind of macronutrient ratios would you guys recommend for slow muscle gain with very little fat gain...with gear...I will be off for like 9 months ...and reintroducing them...
 
I don't know about the other guys, but for me I keep it real simple. I don't know exactly what the breakdown is for me as it changes daily. I try and eat the maximum amount of carbs daily as is possible while not gaining any bf to speak of. I measure my waist and as long as it's not getting any bigger and my abs look the same, I keep trying to push to gain weight. I do, however, try and keep my protein at around 500g/day coming from 30%chicken, 60% whey or casein, and 9% whatever. It might seem like it's a lot of powder, but I used to get 90% of my protein from shakes. Some days I didn't eat any pro. and only drank it. It did seem to work though.
