Digestive enzyme issues

My doctor scripted enzymes are causing me terrible stomach pains and gas. Is this normal?
My lipase has been elevated and I'm not sure if I should be using these. They haven't exactly helped my acute pancreatitis episodes (small pseudo cysts)

How's ox biLe and papaya enzymes as an alternative

Anything is possible. Are you sure it's those? What are the ingredients? I use ox bile on occasions but it's impossible to predict how you would be on that. The fact it's bile and you are extra sensitive I wouldn't be surprised if they gave you an issue either. Papapa enzyme is part of a product I use and I also like bromelain. Are you only concerned with the digestion/absorption of fats and protein? Or are you using something else for carbs (GDA for example)?

Zenpep (pancrelipase) contains a combination of three enzymes (proteins): lipase, protease, and amylase.

It's hard to say. How long have you been on it? I would recommend staying on a little longer and see if things improve. If not come off it and see how you are. If you improve you obviously know you need to try something different.
