Dislocated shoulder

Ok well I am an idiot and entered a cage fight last week. Long story short I dislocated the shoulder. I had to go to a emergency room to get them to put it back in. They said there is probaly a signifigant tear in the rotator as well and a slight fracture.

I have scheduled a appointment with a doctor next week who will probaly give me an MRI and prognosis on the rotator

The question is who has had a simular injury and how long until they were able to train(machines not full heavy training)

I started taking GH at 6iu ed and some test as I figure that can't hurt the healing but I can't lift other than legs

Are we looking at weeks or months?

If the rotator cuff is torn, it'll most likely be a at least a good 2-3 months before you can lift anything that resembles weight. I did the same thing a couple years ago and it took mine around 3 months to be able to lift moderately.

how did it happen? did he toss you and you tried to brace yourself or was it from a submission hold? is there a lot of bruising?

i did something pretty similar at a wrestling tournament in vegas where a guy tried to run a half nelson on me, then switched it to a full nelson (illegal, i know) and got the half in deeper and basically took my right arm straight across behind my neck. ruined my shoulder pretty good.

It was actually happened while I was taking him down. I am not sure if it happened from impact or if it actually just popped from leverage. I just remember when I took him down I immedietly noticed something was wrong with my arm. At first i thought i had just overexerted it but it soon became clear i could not use it at all(the fight went bad after that) we came back to our feet and i basically had one arm hanging as my opponent started throwing hands. I was cut on and the doctor stopped the fight after checking the cut. But he never would have made it back to his feet if i had been able to use the arm. I am a little bitter.

Anyway as I have had rotator cuff issues before I guess the question is to get the surgery or not. Who has had rotator repaired surgically? Results?
