Question for you guys who have torn your distal tendon and had to have surgery. Have you/would you spend the money on bpc 157 and tb 500 to help with recovery? I have plenty of gh to run as well. It’s not an issue of money, but just wondering if it will really make a difference in recovery time? If yes, how many weeks would you run it for? I’m 2.5 weeks post OP and have 110 degree flexion and 30 degrees from fully extending my arm straight. No issues with rotating my wrist either direction. I start PT this next week but truly don’t know how much of that I will need. I’m going to follow no lifting for 4-5 months but otherwise I’m moving this arm gently as much as possible.

No bicep but I've torn a quad tendon (surgery) and labrum (partial no surgery). The only advice i can offer..find a pt who works with athlets specifically vs just whoever is close by. Physical therapist can be amazing or a joke..ive had both. And follow their guidance..worst thing is rushing back and re tearing it.

YES. I had that exact surgery. It was a terrible recovery. I used 500 mcg and 500 mcg of both BPC and TB500 for 30 days straight post op. I was told my recovery would be 6-9 months and I was back in about 4. I highly recommend them stacked like that.

Absolutely. I had the surgery done by a well accredited orthopedic surgeon that deals with sports injuries. He’s sending me to his PT person, so I’m hoping they are just as good. I’m not rushing anything because I def don’t want to re-tear it. This will take time but just curious if the peptides will really make much of a difference

Do you remember how much you ran of each?

Yes 500 mcg of each every day for 30 days. Prob could have gone 60 with even better results.

Ive had zero luck getting any results from BPC. I've used up to 1mg per day, injected at site, and used it for prolonged time without any effect.

I know some guys get great results, just wasn't my expiernce

I have had my proximal tendon reattached. No peptides or GH and it healed fine. Was doing light weights in several weeks.
I have never had any luck with healing peptides myself.

I figure if I feel this good at 2.5 weeks post op, if I run a little peptides, GH and my trt dose, it can’t hurt any. When did you realize you were ready mentally/physically to start lifting light weights? I’m really hoping in 3-4 months I can work out even if it’s light weights.

I was back in the gym in a sling in less then a week. Had 2 rotators muscles reattached at the same time. Dropped the sling i a week. I had 3 appendages and a torso i could train or probably better to say i could stay active with. Stimulating nerves in one limb cause less atrophy in the non working limb. After a couple weeks I would set my repaired arm on a handle when doing rows or presses and let it ride along to get movement to start and went from there. The dr released me to lift in about 1/3 the time as they had originally stated as they knew i was doing things already and was ahead of the curve. On my second visit to the PT he told me not to come for therapy any more as i was way ahead of the curve. And was self motivated which is the issue for most. It was very obvious to me if i was doing anything that had any real risk potential at all to it. Can always start with squeezing a soft ball as the biceps really aren't being used. If there are np twinges go from there

Great advice. Thanks

I had that surgery and ran 500 mcg of each daily. I was an idiot and after 2 months, I tried to do some light workout. I raised a 10 pound weight (side lateral) and re-tore. Had to have it done again. Do not rush the healing process. I'm currently getting rotator cuff surgery soon and will be doing some peptides. Look at my thread form the other day. Some great responses about peptides and healing post surgery

Wasn't around when I tore mine. 2 clients with other tears...same surgeon. Both did high dose BPC and TB and the surgeon was surprised at the recovery time. Surgeon also a former competitive BB. Maybe a 10% faster recovery from expected.

For me I just do my regular Test and GH. I had rotator cuff surgery almost 2 yrs ago. I'm 13 weeks post op on elbow/ tricep distal tendon repair. I think the toughest thing for guys like us is just to GRADUALLY increase weight. You get to feeling great in the gym and want to do more. One thing I like about myself is I have incredible self-control. Yes I want to do more because I "feel" like it. But my brain always reminds me before I do something dumb, well maybe not always, LOL. I'd much rather go up slowly and avoid the scalpel again than push it and be right back on the table. So my advice. TAKE IT SLOW post op. It amazes me how fast 6 months goes by. I'm at 3 months post op and it "feels" like my surgery was 2 weeks ago. Be safe.

I have torn both, my right twice and my left once actually. I would do 1/2mg bpc left side of tendon in am ,1/2 mg bpc right side of tendon at night and 1-2mg bpc 157 daily. Along with 2-3iu gh and 200 test cyp weekly.

Did it help, maybe……. Regardless you are gonna be down for 4-6 months and it’s gonna take you a year to get back to normal.

Any other questions feel free to to pm me.

ive torn my triceps tendon july 24.
ive used high dosages bpc+tb500 (2x daily 1mg bpc/tb in the area as soon as i could remove the cast, else i did upper shoulder) on top of something like 12iu hgh, 200mg test and 20mg anavar
nurse was shocked how fast wound healing was (we wanted to remove the stitches 14 days after the OP, she said we should have done 4-5 days earlier) and the physio was also impressed.
after 7 weeks ive restarted with chest presses / triceps extensions but with very light weight. around 16 weeks post OP i was almost back to pre-injury weights

You should def train whatever you can... if your injury is on your left side (example) doing things like curls and pushdowns on your right side will help maintain the size/strength on your injured side. It is called Cross Education. Research it and you'll be impressed. https://getbacktosport.com/latest-news/the-cross-education-effect/
