Diuretics for competition?

I am going to be using aldectone next year for my competitions. I have a few questions. . .
1. Is 50mg ED mon-sat the weeek of the competition too small of a dose to be effective?
2. I am doing 4 shows, and i know its not good to use diuretics that much, but if they are spaced out will it be ok? I want to use aldectone for my shows end of april, early june, and late june. Will i be ok doing that?
3. Are there any precautions i need to take when taking a diuretic, or any spacifics that will make them more effective? Do i need to cut water at a certain time, drink a certain amount in the week leading up, or watch my sodium, or will the aldectone take care of that?

I used diuretics last year for all my shows except Teen nats...They made a huge difference in the 2 early show I did...I used them 2 months back to back and did not see anything from using them like that...But 4 shows is a bit different then 2...also I would say that using them all week is really not needed..Maybe start 2 days out but I am no guru on them..I am sure someone else will help..
