The rise in prices of products I had used for a long time has increasingly driven me into the DIY realm for many things - this now includes protein powder.
Sourced 50 pounds of whey from a dairy for a little over $300. The one thing I cannot get quite right is the flavoring (using cocoa powder + monk fruit). Ratio of whey:cocoa:monk is 3:1:1. Ive toyed with a couple others but none seem to be hitting the spot right.
Anyone have any experience or knowledge in this realm? Would be curious of what you use to flavor, especially for more exotic flavors like cookies and cream, pbj, etc. Lots of supp manufacturers talk about "flavoring systems" but I cannot find much info online on how they are procured or what they are. Could really use some help from someone that has gone down this route.
