DK Metcalf

As someone who played college football, im 100% positive there is a mix of clean and unclean guys in the league.
But no one is coming into the league already on gear. Guys from BAMA are not on cycles, guys from Bama are already big and strong with superior genetics.

1000% positive DK is clean and if anything will use some GH when he's battling injuries.
Even if you look at the list of who fails the PED policy, most are lineman and linebackers who are absorbing the most hits and are injured. Its a recovery drug for them, not a get big drug. Dudes in the NFL are already big.

GH is muuuuch more prevalent in the NFL that cycles are.

Once again this is strictly from a football perspective. Baseball is 100% different.
This thread also makes me seriously realize that most guys have not seen superior genetics up close. Its ridiculous to see in person.
So true. You've played alongside way more than I ever did. I played high school sports with and against about two dozen or so guys that eventually played in the nfl and it truly was hysterical the physical difference between them and the rest of us.

I do think most pros use performance enhancers (not necessarily aas) simply because it's in their financial interest to do so. But the amount of muscle they carry is rarely a product of massive amounts of aas use. As you say, the guys that do potentially use a sizeable amount are already naturally very big and strong. In football (American at least lol), the skill positions would not benefit from large amounts of aas. In fact, that would probably hinder them. But after reading Charlie Francis' writing, it's pretty apparent that even the genetically elite use and benefit from aas. The amounts they use are probably paltry compared to even casual bodybuilders though.

and another thing. check out @chuckkitty on the IG. that kid was incline db pressin 150s before he ever touched gear. dips with 5 plates chained to him. thats 225 pounds dippin when he weighted 180. he'd load up the leg press by flippin up 100 pound plates onto it. not 45s, he'd load it up with 100s. strongest pound for pound kid i ever saw. and his friend ryan, EVERYONE thought he was on gear, even his friends..kid never touched it and was huge. u can see him in charlies's pics from way back.
maybe its just northeast ohio is full of genetic freaks more than other places? we've more examples of big ol' natty's here, i assume yall have em where u are, so u see what guys can look like without cheatin, thats why ohio state's always great, they recruit from here. some turn traitor and play for michigan bur if they wanna be losers thats their choice.

Some guys in high school, some guys in the NCAA, and some guys in the pros, are using

I doubt Metcalf is one of them

There really are truly legit genetic freaks. Check out the thread on that subject. Lots of NFL players in there. Aaron Donald, for example. He's had the exact same build his entire life. Just a massive, lean, monster of a human being..

As far as whether or not these guys "earn" or "work for" their spot in the pros. Well, to the extent that if you take one of these genetically gifted guys, and compare him with a genetically deficient guy, both of them worked extremely hard, yeah, the gifted guy didn't "earn" anything compared with the deficient guy since they both worked hard and the one just succeeded because of genetics.

The things I've seen people test positive for in recent years (or were on some sort of shady doctors list) were things like peptides and SARMS more than anything else. I don't think they use many bodybuilding drugs these days but I have no insider knowledge.

And FAST! That's one of the things that most people realize but often forget. Probably because it doesn't really translate on tv. These very big and strong guys can cover so much ground so quickly it's staggering.

It’s not a waste if they don’t love it. Our left tackle, 6’7 350, two upper abs. Got every D2 accolade a lineman could get.

when it was time for the combine, he was like, you know, I’m tired. He’s ranching out west with a beautiful wife and 2 kids.

some want that life, some don’t

Agree with this. The top athletes dont need drugs or to worry about calories. The guys juicing in the NFL are probably the guys trying to gain an edge so they can just land a spot on the roster. Or veterans hoping some aas can help them last another year before some young buck takes his job.

Another thing you notice, david boston, Cushing, the muscled guys who juice always getting hurt. I'd say tom brady and ab have the right approach, focus on hard training and longevity and perfect your craft. Tom brady and ab do agility work, cardio, not heavy 700lb squats, that does nothing for an athlete. The perfect build for a wr is plaxico, Calvin Johnson, moss, lean and skinny. Look at mma, how many of them have alot of muscle mass? Athletics and bodybuilding imo are opposites.

Well put.

Dave Tate's famous steroids-ace card analogy is exactly like that. If a guy uses steroids to be a good high school player, he probably won't be that good in college; if a guy in college uses steroids to make it to the NFL, he probably won't last long in the NFL; if he makes it to the NFL without steroids and use them at the end of his career to get another 2-3 years and a couple million dollars, he did it the ideal way.

A great example of top level genetics on an athlete is retired NFL player James Harrison - he posts workout clips daily on his Instagram page. He's 42 and still doing 500+lbs. bench presses without any accessories, not even wrist wraps.

I remember Thomas Jones being a big dude in the NFL. So was Robert Turbin but he actually got busted. Khalil Mack is a freak. So is Aaron Donald. Ridiculous genetics.

Why didn't they earn it? They did all the conditioning work everyone else did, they did all the agility drills and skills drill that everyone else did. Its just at GAME TIME they turn it up to a gear due to adrenaline that others can't comprehend. Just watched my Buckeyes get destroyed by a superior gifted hard working athlete that turned on a gear that a team full of gifted athletes couldn't stop.

So true.

I photographed the 49'ers at their training camp for a TV show years ago. And boy-oh-boy
(no pun intended b-boy) do these guy work hard. Rear real hard. Very high security.
I could not go anywhere unless escorted. (They tried to confiscated my camera after they
saw me pointing it at their weight room, most all was Hammer Strength.) And every
practice is filmed from many angles, some on cranes high above.

What body parts that did show outside their jersey; arms, low back, even abs were
very impressive.

Make no mistake, these men are world class athletes with world class genetics. Wish I
could show some of these fotos but I had to sign a NDA plus I washed them from my
hard drive. But I was there.

Interesting that they have a picture of the Santa Clara stadium on that pass from training camp in 2013. The stadium wasn't used until training camp in 2014.

They were training there before, while it was actually being built. I said to myself,
it will never be finished in time. And I don't know if it was as I don't follow football.

I have told this story before (search?) but I did have lunch with all the players and
the most incredible cafeteria. Some of these guys are monsters.

Yeah. Walk around Harlem, Brooklyn, Jersey City on any summer day.. these guys are a dime a dozen.

Certain dog fighting quarterbacks from the early 2000s loved primobolan. 100000% facts.

I've coached at the high school and D1 college level. Many cannot fathom the athleticism of a true freak because they've simply never seen it in person.

We had an incoming 18 year old freshman running back jump onto a 54" box, first try, no warm up, in street clothes.

Of course, some athletes use. But if you have no frame of reference, you might be shocked at what some can do clean.

The nfl uses a 4/1 testosterone/epitestosterone ratio.,.this means that many nfl players are 4x higher in test than an average man...it was once a 6/1 ratio...these guys are naturally loaded to the gill in T

It seems a little entertaining in this post that superior genetics and great training for their sport can make a guy a pro who makes a fortune. Yet if most any bodybuilder with great genetics trains himself towards having the biggest muscles he can people will almost always calling him out and say he is using.

NFL is no joke I’m not sure how these guys do it. I’m surprised people don’t die for real imagine getting hit full speed by a guy 260 or more that shit has to hurt. Hahaha I’d run for my life every down. If I saw James Harrison running at me I’d shit.

I use to train at a gym where Travis laboy trained he was suspended a bunch of times for gear. He was huge. Just a big person. That level those people are in a different level.
