DMSO safety

Lately, I've been rubbing a bit of DMSO into my elbows and it's really helped with the joint pain. Is DMSO safe to use long term?

I never could use DMSO. Even cut 50-70% it still irritated my skin.

I wouldn't rely on it cuz you don't want to "mask" what's really going on but use it more "as needed". When I do use it, I use it before bed after I shower. Not before training where it might mask the underlying issue.

Also, you won't have any friends if you use it too often for too long.

Until u mentioned it I had forgotten all about the strong garlic like odor.

hard to know how pure it is , most is industrial...also nearly all is packaged in plastic, which dmso will dissolve and absorb at least a little..and also
anything else in contact will also partly be absorbe with the dmso, like clothes, perfumes, etc

I've been using it for 30yrs. In fact, I put some on my groin mixed with blue emu yesterday.
I use it when the need presents itself. It's great for tendonitis(usually elbows).
Just make sure after rubbing it on you wipe off the excess. That's where the skin irritation come in.

YMMV, but the odorless still gave me the sulfur/garlic breath.

If used to transport a compound, PLO gel does not have that side. I don't think it by itself has the benefits of DMSO though.

Right. Key is to read the reviews. Also limit water and air exposure. As soon as I exposed my solutions to humid air for extended periods or repeated periods, DMSO began to emit a sulfuric/foul odor.
