DNP and bloodwork timing

Last time I tried DNP, I went all in and lost 17lbs in 17 days. It worked great but not a pleasant experience and was very happy to end it. Thank you to Elvia for all the info he provided to get me through it.

Doing a recomp right now and decided to do 250mg every other day for at least 6 weeks.I’m in week 3 now and it’s been very comfortable and getting the results I want, slow and steady while maintaining strength in the gym. I think I’ll make the 6 week mark just fine. I know it improves health markers as well, so I’m taking advantage of that also.

I’d like to get a new baseline with bloodwork in May and wanted to know how much time should I allow the DNP to clear and my body return to normal before I give blood. I have no idea if DNP throws bloodwork off if you test immediately or even the week after when your body has a chance to get more carbs in and fills out.

Looking for suggestions. Thanks guys.
 
I'm about 12 days into a ~2 week DNP run and just got bloods yesterday. Needed them anyway but just wanted to see if/what this does to them (I'm on a long term cruise dose so should be at baseline mostly).

What I've heard from others:

Numerous reports of DNP not impacting bloods. Maybe fasted glucose as DNP increases insulin sensativity. Many were surprised but happy with this result

One recent report (so no idea how reliable or if a one off) the gent claimed messed up lipids and maybe some other things.

What I will say now is this:
4 weeks after DNP clears you should be fine. I've done that a few times but can't attest that it wasn't clean the whole time either. I might have more info in a few says. E2 sensative is in these bloods so will delay things some.
 
Appreciate the answer. Was thinking 2 weeks could work. Maintaining the clean diet is key anyway, without going on a carb binge should keep the DNP positives for bloodwork.

I'd think. Carbs blow up my BP and Lipids fiercely so my DNP runs are ~2k cals a day and low carb (maybe 10% of cals). This produces great bloods for me on cruises - I'm 50 so best bloods since I was in my early 20s - so any major issue will be DNP driven as I've isolated it.

I'll report back when I get blood results.
 
LOVE that 250mg EOD approach. Slow and steady. Much more tolerable and comfortable and still very effective. If u do have any issues much easier to get them under control quickly. Last run for myself I just did 200-250mg on Mon/Wed /Fri for about a month and it worked great with minimal issues.

Couldn’t agree more. I have no need or reason to lose a lb a day for weeks on end. Slow and steady while not cooking myself and feeling like creeping death is much better for me these days.
 
Back in August 2024 I had routine lab work done 60 days into 250 mgs a day of DNP without stopping. Every marker tested was within normal limits without issue.

Complete Blood Cell, Comprehensive Metabolic, and Lipids are all back. Short answer, nothing negative and some readings better than my average for cruise periods. Some highlights below.

Lipids totally fine. Best HDL in a while actually.

Creatinine and EGFR were also much better than normal. My Cystatin C is fine but reasons we all know muscle mass/training/high protein diet my creatinine runs higher.

ALT and AST both within range and toward bottom end. Lower, fractionally, than they normally are on my cruises.

I kind of messed up my fasting so glucose was higher (still in range) than I'd normally expect.

This was day 10 of DNP. 250mg a day first part then 250/500 staggered EOD. Yesterday was day 14 final day

I do similar. Except friday I’ll take 500mg. Then none sat and back to 250 Sunday.

I sweat, breath rapid, and do some extra cardio. It’s my “blast.” 1-2 days and back to normal Monday for work.

But I only run it 7-14 days max.

For what it's worth I've pulled bloods a week or 2 after DNP runs and everything looked like how it would normally look.
 
Thanks for all the insight. I have 75 caps of DNP 200mg. I got about 20lbs to drop but not in a rush. I think 200mg EOD sounds good.

How much did you drop in that time period with EOD use?
