I played minor league baseball in Albany Georgia which is in the SW corner of Georgia about 45 min morth of tallahassee. We played a team in our league from montgomery, AL and made the bus trip there many a times and I can assure you that a pig that big could never be seen down there as there is a whole lotta country and backwoods down there......It could easily never be seen in my opinion

I used to live in MOntgomery, AL....and yes, I can cerify this LOL.....HOwever, the "city" is much more industrialized now...a couples malls have gone up and everything

Super Pigs !!! Any hunter from the south, knows better. lol
They do look like wild hogs. In my region, any hog that has escaped from
captivity is considered feral after 10days. (wild) and fair game. !!!!!!!!!!!!
If you take a farm pig and release it in the woods, then see it a year later,
you wouldnt beleive its the same pig. ( incrediable transformation)

In size comparison, a big trophy hog is about 200lbs. (truley wild)

I read about this the other day in our paper. One article was the one already posted here and there was another listed next to it. In the other article, it said that a man bought the pig as a Christmas present for his wife and it's name was Fred. The hog finally got so big...he sold it to the plantation. The hog ended up on the 150 acre fenced in plantation and was shot and killed within 4 days of being released. They mentioned that others had rifles in case the hog didn't go down after the boy shot it.

It just so happens...that...my family was in the hog business many years ago. lol. I showed my Dad this story and he was thoroughly impressed! He'd seen the story on Hogzilla several years ago, and new all about them digging up Hogzilla and estimating its real weight. These are huge boars man! Ours used to get up to 200-300lbs before we sold them! You could eat off Hogzilla(II) for a long time! hahaha. Did you see the size of that skull? Unbelievable.

I think my Dad was more impressed to learn that S&W has a .50 caliber pistol now. hahaha... I may have to buy him one of those for Christmas this year. He loves his 44 magnum...but I could see the sadness on his face to learn there was now a .50 caliber. hahaha... That a little 12 yr. old boy shot. hahaha
