Hello, guys I just want an answer from all of you. Do workout clothes really matter in the gym or at other places? Can't we wear normal clothes while performing workouts?

Ask your gym. Most have guidelines.

You need to have your pimples and farmer tan out for all the girls to see. Must have music a bag and a drink to mark your dominance in case you feel like super setting on another machine, so you don't loose your place

I got off work the other day, forgot my gym bag, and didn’t realize until I got to the gym, I ended up lifting in my work uniform, as far as performance goes I wouldn’t want to do squats in jeans, or have any thing restrictive on, but other than that I can’t see gym clothes being a necessity, but I’m definitely more comfortable in my gym clothes!

I wear whatever pant are cheapest and fit from academy and walmart , either cheap tank tops from there or T-shirts from local companies I get for free and a long sleeve shirt over it till I get hot.

It cracks me up to see people get all made up in matching Ryderwear gear , sleeveless hoodie and shit , toting a gym bag you could hide a dead stripper in with all there pre workout sups and shit like a walking GNC add.

As long as it doesn’t stink and it’s functional. I like baggy shirts and loose fitting shorts or sweat pants.
I don’t like to look like a total slob because if I feel good and confident then mentally it helps me with my training. My favorite shorts are from h&m they look like cut off sweat pants.
Honestly most people at the gym should be too concerned with training to pay you any mind. Wear whatever you like it’s your fitness journey and if matching guerilla wear and otomix makes you feel better then have at it. Everybody is different and sometimes it can be intimidating enough for somebody starting out go to the gym to begin with.

What ever is comfortable for me, works. People can wear what ever they want at any gym i have been to. I saw people in blue jeans and way more flabby bodies sticking out then i want to see this week.

I cover up in sweat suits or track suits. Look good, feel good. Feel good, perform good. Perform good, look good. Mind set for me. Plus covering up strips water, and helps keep my body temp elevated. When I really wanna slice it up a bit, I wear thermals underneath the suit. And still do cardio and the sauna. Create difficulty. Creating difficulty takes discipline. I'm kinda different though. I'm not a bodybuilder, I'm just building a better body, mind...and soul. You may be the biggest bastard in the gym, but if it doesn't perform at a high level in a tight spot, ain't worth having.

I wear old, torn up stuff. One of the gyms I used to go to was all rusty and had a great outdoor area for heavy/loud music lifting. During winter I just wear big, oversized pants, T-shirts, Cap 69834CDF-6FDF-452D-9FE5-B389D2BDD52C.jpeg I did wash it! Lol

Of course they matter...To have a good workout you must first feel comfortable in your clothing!

*now here's my PMstore dig bahahahaha:

...That's why I wear gear from ProfessionalMuscleStore.com. Because with the power of clothing, you too can be as wise as @emeric delczeg , as powerful as @Dusty Hanshaw , as cool and collected as @b-boy and a complete asshole like @K1 ...All rolled into one

Now just look at this guy above me...A perfect example of an unhappy lifter :ROFLMAO:

Scruffy looking, tired out body just like his shirt, unable to even meet any of his personal bests let alone best those bests teehee!

AND then...BOOM...Just like that, with a little facelift in his attire, he'll now be matching strength with the top tier

You too can be a 'BEAST' just like Max here: https://professionalmusclestore.com/products/business-beast

I wear what I want, I don't give two fucks what other people wear, I'm too busy taking myself to the next level to worry about other people.

I have several professionalmuscle shirts and tank tops and my gymbag is professionalmuscle. I REPRESENT ALWAYS!

edit: Sorry guys...Didn't sleep much and this spammer post I ran across this morning just caught me in a mood.
Sadly as I wrote this shit, I was picturing doing it in one of those middle-of-the-night infomercials voices :ROFLMAO:

I'm surprised to hear you say such.who cares what others want to wear or carry bro. Just do your thing and don't mind others

I wear my underwear and garter belt only and no one seems to be bothered 🤣

Jeans, boots, tank top. Sweats on leg days. Combat boots feel comfortable, Dr martens or steel toe might be a bit much. Never been a sweat pants guy.

I have about 7 pairs of the same black tracksuit pants. With that I have various different hoodies (90% black). I could do with a few new ones because I have had most of them for years. I stay covered up all the time. Well in summer I may wear the odd vest but even then my mates are shocked I can still wear a hoodie in the heat. So I wear shit clothes but I did say to myself recently I should probably start making more effort because I am single and my gym is full of hot girls so maybe I will go crazy and wear a blue hoodie and not put on the same pair of shoes I wear everyday even though I have about 10 pairs collecting dust :D To answer the thread obviously clothes don't make any difference unless they are uncomfortable. I couldn't care less what people wear to the gym. If they want to dress up go for it.
