Do You Keep Your Wedding Ring on When You Lift?

I wore a 14K gold band during my first marriage and it got so scratched and banged up that it looked like shit -- even though I wore gloves most of the time. It just didn't feel right if I took it off. I noticed some guys would drop it in their pocket or into their gym bag, but I also heard a few of them freaking out when they couldn't find it later.

I really recommend the new TUNGSTEN wedding rings. They are much, much harder and more resistant to abuse. Mine still looks brand-new and really shiny after almost three years of wearing it.

i was married with my fathers 14k gold ring(passed away a few years ago) but i have a titanium band i wear day to day so i don't have to worry about messing it up at work or gym.

I take mine off. White gold, scratches up and looks "dirty" from so much scuffing. I've already had to have it re-dipped once, and about time to do it again. So, I take off for lifting. Other than that, and when I sleep - it's always on.

Where is a good place to get some of the new tungsten/carbide ones ? My girl and I have looked and there were some really good looking dark gold/grey tungsten and also some deep cobalt blue/tungsten rings. Not super expensive but overstock had a bunch of the same crap.

I always take mine off. I watched a buddy peel the skin off his finger like a grape when his ring snagged on a piece of equipment. Scared the shit outta me. Just looking at the sheath of his finger with the nail still on it and everything just laying on the ground. Gross

I have the same kind of metal tungsten and so far liking it. I don't want to ever take my ring off. It means something toe having it on.
