And by train abs I mean direct ab work.

I do not. If my abs got any bigger it would just give more of a turtle shell look. Years of powerlifting and CrossFit built the hell out of my abs and erectors. I indirectly hit my abs with legs, and conditioning.

How about you?

No direct ab work for me normally. But vaccum practice when dieting.

The times I competed I worked them during prep. Aside from them I really don't, maybe once in a blue moon.

I do direct ab work but not at the high frequency that most people seem to hit them. I dont hit them anywhere near every day or every other day (fuck that noise)

I essentially hit them like any other muscle, a couple of times a week and plenty of rest.

yeah .. I never used to. I stopped doing a lot of free weight exercises like barbell rows and squats and it probably makes sense to do some ab work.

The reason I do it now though is because I actually enjoy doing cable crunches. They are fun as hell

Vaccums every day. With planks too and I'm always conscious of keeping my midsection tight throughout the day.

I do ab work in the gym 3 x a week or every other day. Leg raises and rope crunches. Although my new gym has a hammer strength crunch machine I'm gonna try out

Vacuums on the regular, but crunches? No where near enough.

I do abs everyday I am in the gym. I do hanging leg raises and sometimes will also do planks. I think it keeps my core tighter and my ab muscles have better pop when I lean out.

Never directly trained abs before until a few months ago and I have noticed improved muscular development in my abs already training number three times a week with resistance.

Holy Mackerel! I was very hit or miss Past year. I have an old lumbar injury, So I started going for rehab therapy. Girl kills my abs! She making me do all kinds of twisty things that totally hit my abs.
Fucking sore as hell! Oblique and front!

I do not but after my last few shows and training abs pre contest I definitely noted to myself that some low volume routine ab work in the off season would benefit me greatly
I’m talking just a couple sets of basic leg raises and standard ab crunches
And here I am, blowing them off again……

I train abs as often as I can, but not 2 consecutive days in a row.

I do one set… and I get crazy cramps after. Went to the grocery store after the gym and bent over to get something. Abs locked up and all I could do was lay down and try to take deep breaths, people thought I was having a heart attack…

I double a couple rope crunches after every session, 5-6 times a week. Anymore than 2 sets in a row and my abs cramp HARD.

twice a week, a form of ab crunches and some form of knee raises. Mainly for maintenance and injury prevention, keeping them strong.

Absolutely. Every other day for me personally. Vacuums daily.
Same here

Abs every other day (all you really need is leg raises and weighed cable crunches)

And everyday vacuums are non negotiable. First thing in the morning atleast 10 rounds while you’re fasted

It seems I only get the cramps when Im on an oral cycle.

One time I got the ab cramps when I was coming from a head job. Shit was awkward af while I tried to pretend everything was ok.

I trained them seriously one winter some time ago and my waist was an inch bigger the next summer. I don't want them any bigger so i rarely work them.
