The article says "exercise" and not cardio. We as bodybuilders don't really consider lifting weight exercise, because we just do it out of joy lol. At least that's how I am!
But yes, cardio is key. Unless you're training super intense like JM.
For the last few weeks I've been strongly contemplating adding in cardio.
Maybe it's time to stop looking at the elliptical as I walk by and actually get on it...
I just started adding cardio to my routine again - 30-40 min on the elliptical. To be quite honest, doing it more for the beach/pool than health reasons. Obviously the health benefit is a bonus
For the last 25 or so years I've done cardio, 6 days a week. I'll usually run 3-5 miles every morning at 430 in the AM, with a MiR 25 pound weighted vest on. Every other day I'll throw some sprints in.
I recently started doing weighted sled drags on Astroturf. Brutal.
...I get a sense of guilt if I slack on doing cardio.

Agreed, weight lifting is beneficial but not when it makes us overly large men. That's where "exercise" in the aerobic sense comes into play. Wish I had made it a point to do it year round instead of only certain times of the year.
