Does amoxicillin cause water retention???

On amoxicillin 2 X 500mg caps twice a day for the last week and noticed some water retention and bloating.

Is this a common side?

If you're taking it because of an infection, then I'd say the bloat is more from your body fighting the infection off.

Started gaining weight once I started the amoxicillin and noticed I lost a bit of vascularity.

Just ran 10 days for infected tooth. No extra water.

Yea one of the sides is bloating...and everyone is different.

My face got puffy when i used it for 10 days

It also could be MK677 I am on too but I have been on that for a while now and didn't notice much bloat when I started

MK577 is well known for bloat also

Yeah that's what I was thinking. If you eat clean on MK677 it leans you out big time but if I have a cheat meal I will be bloated for a good 2 days.

So I was not sure. I am sure the amoxicillin is causing some bloat too

Everytime I have been put on it I have noticed water retention, but no bloating issues. Like mentioned above, everyone is going to be different.

I'm allergic to it , broke out in hives all over my body.
