Does anybody eat protein bars when dieting

Just curious. If I have a bar or 2 will affect my diet ,
I'm still in a deficit

And no it certainly won't negatively affect your diet if it fits into the macros you'll have for that day. Only thing sometimes they can bloat you but other than that how could it negatively affect you?

I have been eating Finibars lately, they are fantastic, taste great. John Meadows recomends them too! (it has 300 cal in 70g)

Indeed.. The cookie dough one is the best thing in the world.. Crazy to think something can taste that good without tons of random stuff in it..

My new favorite is metRx 100 pretzel peanut butter
There like 400calories and 40 grams carbs
I eat it As a meal replacement .
They taste like candy

Never tried microwaving them. That's a good idea. Nothing beats the APEX cookies/brownies nuked for 20 sec.. unfortunately they are loaded with sugar.

I have used quest bars in two of my competition diets, but my current coach doesn't let that fly. Nothing beats chicken-i guess Lol.

Quest bars are so damn good, but so small... It is nice though that they are really high in fiber and have minimalistic ingredient list.

I ate them at the beginning of my diet, but cut them out as I got closer to the show date. I know of a few people who used them right up to show day though.

As long as you're in a deficit, you can eat them.

I wouldn't if you are trying to cut but it just depends on your goals. It's hard to find one that tastes good that doesn't have a high simple sugar content

Same here although I try to cut them out while dieting. Guess it's better than eating a real candy bar.

Love Quest bars... If you're dieting to just lean out a bit i say go for it

If you're prepping for a show and want to get peeled leave them out stick to whole food and maybe 1-2 shakes
