I do or should I say did. Doc had me on Pantoprazole for YEARS. Elevated the head of my bed a good 6" (wife hated that). Didn't or tried not to eat 2 hours before going to bed. Figured out what set off my acid reflux and avoided them. Tomato sauce, salsa, anything with caffeine in it. Cut way back on the alcohol. Then I discovered I had a large hiatal hernia so I got it fixed back in December of 2021. Called a Nissen Fundoplication. Similar to bariatric surgery. Had to suffer through a battery of tests/exams to justify the surgery. My esophagus was close to developing Barretts. It's been about 6 months since my surgery. No more meds. All good with one exception, I can't burp (or vomit supposedly) so I've had to completely lay off any/all carbonated beverages. Probably the only downside to the surgery.
