Does anyone here run?

I don't enjoy it, but I know if I stop doing it(even though it's only once a week) ill be done and won't be able to do it. Plus it will help if something large is chasing me. I live in Maine after all...

Not really. I'm not much of a winter guy. I passed through Bangor this summer coming back from Bar Harbor. Had to see Stephen Kings House🕸
 
Haven't ran in a long time. Jumping rope works as cardio for me, feel like I get more out of it in less time compared to running.
 
Over the past 5 years I've pretty much transitioned into running as my main form of exercise. I'm anywhere between 7-15 miles per day 7 days per week. I would say about 70% of my runs are on the treadmill (which serious runners scoff at I guess). On my 10 + mile runs I can average anywhere from 8:20 to 7:30 per mile average pace. It really depends on how I feel that day.

I've definitely leaned out and lost a fair bit of muscle mass but my "general fitness" has drastically improved. It's also nice to be able to get away with a few extra cheat meals from all the calorie burning.
 
Nope. Hate running. Even if my joints decide to cooperate. Not sure what my motivation was the summer I worked up to doing a few miles of street running at a decent pace. I never do cardio now unless the weather is nice and I go on a bike ride. Sucks when I go to the lake and I run out of breath after swimming 30 feet lol.
 
I like running outdoors alot more than on a treadmill, the problem with running on a machine is that the speed doesn't naturally adjust to your bodys movements, naturally our speed while running varies, this is why running outside is better. Outdoors the oxygen level is much more richer and higher, this high level of O2 also helps with endurance and stamina while running. I run between 20 to 30 miles a week outdoors throughout the year
