I think it's overkill. I was in the joint with monsters! And our diets were lucky to supply 120g of protein daily. I went from 125lb to 185lb when I was there. Bodies adapt. I get at least my bodyweight in grams daily now, I do strive for more. But I think I could do less and still grow as long as carbs and fats are high enough to keep me in a surplus

It works for me. I used to do all shakes so this is an improvement.
