Does anyone work traps on a sepeaate day?

I've always trained traps with shoulders, but I really want to concentrate hard on them over the next few months. Considering this routine...

Mon...Chest
Tues...Back
Weds...Legs
Thurs...Shoulders
Fri...Arms
Sat...Traps and Abs

Has anyone done anything similar or have any thoughts on this routine?

I train mine on back day.. I do DB shrugs before rack pulls...high reps with 3 second squeeze at the top and a good stretch at the bottom.

Hit traps with back and shoulders u should be good. I like to do power shrugs on back day then db shrugs with shoulders
 
Like these guys said they don't really need their own day. I've made progress with mine doing them with shoulders and back. I like to do super sets with a wider grip upright row followed with barbell shrugs. Little advice I got from a great trainer here. You really have to focus on form and the muscle.

Not at all. I can concentrate hard on both chest and back on the same day...yet I still decide to do them on separate days.
 
I used to hit them hard on back day and then do 5-6 sets heavy barbell shrugs to begin chest day. It actually helped tighten my shoulder girdle for the rest of my chest workout too 👍 as others were sayin tho, no need for their own day.. but def twice a week would be good
 
no, that would be like doing rear delts on a separate day.... its so small a muscle, it only needs a few sets imo... I've always done them w back day... i do them how lil slice said w 3-5sec hold on top.. i dont like BB shrugs, only DB and the hammer strength machine...
 
No I have always worked them into my shoulder day
 
I hit mine after chest, shoulder and arm days , so 3 times a week for me, more less lighter weight just to get a pump and thus far seeing good progress. The wife is calling me Mr. no neck , started to see more over all growth through my whole body just going for a pump using giant sets with less rest time
