Does high estrogen reduce T4 to T3 thyroid conversion (high reverse T3)?

Has anyone noticed a reduced T4 to T3 conversion (high reverse T3) from having a high estrogen level?

I know estrogen dominance in women does this so I’m wondering if it’s the same in men.

Can’t find any info on this anywhere.

Estrogens increase TBG (thyroid hormone binding globulin) leading to reduced free T4 and free T3 levels, which may increase TSH levels.
High estrogen stimulate prolactin release, which negatively impacts thyroid function.
High cortisol, very low carbs diets, stress, lack of sleep, liver and kidney disease, stimulant abuse, they all impairs hepatic conversion of T4 into T3.
HGH instead stimulates this conversion.
The higher levels of estrogens in women are linked to autoimmune thyroiditis, like Hashimoto.

It can increase or decrease Free T4/T3 (elevated estrogen/estradiol). Most of the time you will see a decrease, but sometimes Free T4 gets increased.

Most common cause of low free/total T3 is low carb/keto diet or extended or heavy caloric deficits. High carb diet or being fatter will also increase T3 conversion. Being leaner reduces conversion.

HGH reliably enhances Free T4 to Free T3 conversion. The effect is significant.

Phenomenal answer. Thank you

Excellent! And once t3 drops prolactin continues to rise causing more issues.

Too much estrogen can interfere with your thyroid health. That's because high blood levels of estrogen signal the liver to increase the production of thyroid-binding globulin (TBG). This is an inhibitor protein that binds to the thyroid hormone, reducing the amount of T3 and T4 available for use by cells.
