I've felt like shit the past 4 weeks. Lack of appetite, virtually no energy & strange muscular pains in lower back, shoulders etc. Been to docs 3 times & they havnt got a clue. For some reason I've never clicked on that I could be overtrained. Gonna lay off for a few days to see if feel any better.
Does this sound like the sympyoms of over training to you?? How long does it normally take to pull yourself back to normal when you overtrain??
 
Also if I am overtrained is it still ok to do cardio or should I lay off everything until I am back to 100%??

How often do you train?
Are you on gear?
Your routine?

Well bro like clone said more info would be helpful but i remember being on only 50 mgs of adrol before and had 3 out of the 4 symptoms you stated in your thread. I dont know if your on any gear or not but some gear like adrol just dont agree with my body.
 
Never done aas as yet but got all the gear for my 1st cycle. Waiting until I'm back to 100% before I start. Hopefully next week. I'm 30, been training for about 2 years. At the minute with me feeling tired all the time, my routine has been just training 1 body part, then days rest, then another body part.
3-4 exersises per body part, 5-6 sets per exersise with 8-10 reps per set. I know thats alot of sets but I thought I was seeing good results from it in the past. Maybe I should rotate the high amount of sets routine from month to month to give muscles & CNS a break?

Thats very possible. Take 1 wk off from training and see how you feel. Are you on any meds?

Try two exercises per body part with 3-4 sets. Go at them hard with the weight so that your last on your last set the last few reps are really as much as you can do.
Try to do a three day routine covering whole body, split it if you want where one week you get two sessions on upper body and one on legs and the opposite the next week.
The more areas you stimulate at once the more your body will respond but do not OVERTRAIN.
I know it doesnt sound alot but if you hit it hard then your body will respond well and you are giving your CNS time to recover as well.

I used to hit loads of sets and plenty of different exercises per BP but since I started training like this my gains are better and I feel alot happier in myself from it.

Sounds like your estrogen is up. Are you taking any supplements that would supress your HPTA?

If you're physically good according to 3 doctors (or was that the same doctor three different times?) then it's obviously a hormonal issue.

Overtraining could be the cause of the hormonal imbalance.. maybe CNS fatigue. I'm willing to bet it's higher than normal estrogen due to your age and the factors listed above. Have you had any bloodwork recently?
 
Only things I do really is whey protien and eat a healthy, high protien diet. It was 3 seperate doctors I've seen. And yes, they took quite alot of blood and they said they did the whole range of tests and said everything was normal. Been doing some more research on overtraining & I am 99.9% sure that I am severley overtrained. Just extremely pissed off that I didn't read the signs earlier as I was gonna start 1st cycle this weekend. Obviously gonna wait couple more weeks now. Always knew the dangers of overtraining aswell, but I guess we learn from our mistakes.
