I am just coming off a bb comp and competing in a regional meet locally next month... I will be shooting for a 575 squat, 375 bench and 600 dead at 190lb. Should be fun!! Best of luck and let us know how it goes! great progress my friend.

Thanks Ray, if I get my total I want this will be my last raw meet. I just see them as two different sports(raw and geared) and there is more competition in the geared part.

Good luck with your meet! I'd like to ask you two question if you don't mind. Have you been doing the 5-3-1 all along while preparing for this meet? What has your diet been like (caloreis, macros, food sources)?

I did 531 for 9 months leading up to this, the past 2-3 months I listen to my friend Shane and followed his program to the T, I've had about every excuse I can think of that would make me not do this meet but I've stuck with it and couldn't be happier.
my diet has honestly been bad I've just been eating anything that looks good...fast food, stickers tons of protein powder etc.
I need to go back on a better diet than I am now..Phils old diet..I plan to try and do that after this meet.

Also after the meet I will be doing another one in March..I'll probably follow Shanes program again and after march unless one pops up I will probably run the 531 again for 6 months.
But I have learned some things about not going heavy very often. mainly that it sucks to get use to heavy weight.
