Droid X Ring tone can u import a song

Is it possible, and if so how do I take a song from my iTunes and load it on to my droid X as my main ring tone. Will there be format compatability issues? If iTunes is a no go, can I load a song from a cd I bought from the store?

Plug your USB cord into your computer and load your songs you want on your phone. After that just select a song and set as ring tone.

Jello, he is using iTunes. He cannot play DRM encrypted ACC files without an iTunes client. He would need to convert which can be done with software like Doubletwist, etc.
That is why I have no idea why people buy from iTune in the first place. Buy the MP3 or lossless FLAC, and you'll never have problems. They can also simply add them to iTunes, and still retain the original non-DRM file. These people buy a whole third party library, then find out it can only be used on Apple.

I don't use iTunes so I didn't know that. I have music from other means on my computer and now on my phone the way I described.
