Drugs that affect vision

Within the past 3 days my vision has become increasingly more blurry and harder to focus. I was curious which compounds if any are known to cause this? I know nolva/clomid/viagra etc.. are known to decrease vision, but the only things I am on per week is:

300mg Deca
400mg Test C
12.5mg exemestane ED

The only changes that I have done within the past week is I added Deca at 300mg, and have come down with a minor cold it seems(shits going around at work). So I'm not sure what's going on as the only things in the past that have affected my vision were ED drugs, which I haven't used in about 2-3 months.

Could the cold contribute to this? I wouldn't think it could be the Deca as I have only been on it like a week.

I'm 27 btw, so I shouldn't be having vision problems already.

This can be deleted. Should have google searched first.

Colds can cause decreased vision apparently. Learn something new every day.

Also blood pressure fluctuations both high and low can blur your vision

I thought about that as well, was going to check it with my monitor once I get home. I'm sure it's slightly elevated currently.

Just thought I'd throw this out there, but astaxanthin is good for vision.

Your eyesight will also decline with age.

I'm still young. At least I think so

I eat carrots in a veggie shake, combined with spinach/kale/blueberries/banana

Would eating carrots daily have a similar effect? My girl eats them so I throw a handful of baby carrots in there for some orange color veggie.

Great supplements for the eyes also include lutein and bilberry.

As you stated it was probably due to the cold. I don't like to use anything that negatively effects the eyes. That's why I stay away from s4 and clomid.

The studies I have saved on this would bore you to death so i will give you the "easy reading" writeup I found.....if you read thru this its pretty amazing

"Even more impressive, the average visual acuity improved by not one, but two lines on the Snellen chart" = 3 months

Life Ext also puts out a great saffron supplement with saffron astaxathin and other key nutriets called Macuguard that probably is equals or is even better than the Vision Max product

???

lntense,

Have you seen a ophthalmologist?

If not, why not?

If you choose to do so, be totally honest about
what you are taking.

My opinion.

CSR is a young mans disease that leads to macular degeneration. See a doctor to be on the safe side. We only get one set of eyes.

Blood pressure.

Get a blood pressure monitor and test it bilaterally in the morning upon waking.

High blood pressure can cause Retinopathy witch is damage to the light sedative tissue at the back of the eye / retna. Have you kept your bp under control? Also diabetics get Diabetic Retinopathy are you diabetic?

I think you'd better to confirm these things,
1,Does your family have diabetes history? go to monitor blood pressure and sugar to make sure they are normal level. So that exclude diabetes. You are only 27 years old. It cannot be as normally.
2,Do you have these symptom ever before when you get cold?
3,It can be Pseudo myopia. You need to check with ophthalmologist.

You'd better stop drugs temporarily to help doctors judge. Carrot is helpful to eyes usually, but it cannot treat.

Hope you will be well soon.:):)

Everyone already stated high blood pressure and diabetes so I'm going to go with glaucoma. I started getting it in one eye this past year. Do you do any contact sports ? or have any past injuries to eye from contact sports. They catch up to you as you age.

Saffron Improves Vision in Aging Humans - Life Extension

Haven't opened the links you posted yet, but Saffron has also been known since ancient times to show impressive mood enhancement/anti depressive properties. Never gave it a try personally though. :)

Back to topic, every drug potentially affecting BGL (blood glucose level)/glycemia can cause vision problems... that's why a few already mentioned diabete in this thread.

Actually, you can even get diabetic retinopathy WITHOUT being diabetic... constant fluctuations in BGL (too high/too low) caused by GH, IGF or slin and drugs regulating blood pressure like ACE inhibitors are silent killers.

Don't take any risks, please consult an ophthalmologist and be honest about your recent AND past drug use, as Alfresco suggested.

My vision has improved today, not 100% but definitely can tell a difference when focusing.

I attribute it to the pressure in my head from the sinuses/cold. Also I may have had a blood pressure spike while I was at work, because it's somewhat high stress even though it's in an office. I'm going to start bringing my BP monitor with me. Also my body doesn't respond the best to Deca, so that could have a negative effect on BP as well, little early though I would think.

Thank you all for the input.
