Ever since I capped 40mg Accutane in like 2009 I have had issues with dry skin. Idk if I have a melanoma spot on my scalp it's tiny and flat and will not remove. Feels like a scab or eczema. I developed eczema in a few spots in Texas when I was there for 7 mo. Nothing I did would help.

Is it common to have dry itchy scalp when balding ? I'm sure there's a thread on this so my bad for beinf laxy I am on a cellphone and I'm going blind my vision constantly goes into a fixed stare for years lol. 37 going on 90. Ty falls. Blessings

Ps I use retinol serum then cerave but stopped when I got back to cali in dec. I use Dr bronners local Castille soap . They're a local og soap company near true nutrition in sd near me. I took Epsom salt baths everyday during summer also obsessively .

Coffee fasted with collagen peptides and vit c. Any other recommendations for my ghostly white skin? It got fried and damaged in hot Texas summer sun

Accutane will definitely dry out your skin

As for avoiding sunburns, I’ve been using DirectVIP’s melanotan 2 with great success

Can’t be in sunlight while on accutane obvi

Yeah melanotan 2 is really great for building and retaining color, and also helps prevent sunburns like fleezy mentioned, but for it to work best you do need to do a little tanning, which could create complications for the accutane

Other than that I would just moisturize excessively. I use the cerave moisturizer as well for my face and it works great, then I have some other random one for my body.

Accutane is notorious for drying out the skin though. Some people say Vaseline can also work very well for this but I haven’t used it personally

I am going bald or what many would consider bald. Hair is growing back but will never have a full head of hair but I am happy with the results. I will take what I can get . Check out Black Beards posts. Great guy and extremely knowledgeable, he really helped me.

I have never experienced a dry scalp as a function of hair loss.

And get this ‘thing’ on your scalp checked out by a dermatologist. Saw mine a few weeks ago, biopsy came back as melanoma again, not the first time, maybe the third time, have had too many biopsies and stuff surgically removed to remember. Mohes (sp) surgery in a week. My head looks like a map of Europe . . . a map made after the war.

Ah yes I enjoy his posts thank you I forgot he has knowledge in these realms . Im tempted to do scalp microneedling .it like tattoos a hairline and looks real ill post a pic . My bro did hair plugs .

Carnal what’s up brother? My younger son his Dr put him on accutane last year. She did blood work every month. And she did tell me my wife and him that it will dry his skin really badly. To stay away from the sun and to use lip balm because his lips would dry so bad and they would crack and bleed. It turned out great it cleared every single pimple on his face and back.his been off for a year now and not one pimple has come back. His 18 years old now

got anything else in the mix that might act as vasoconstrictor?
mr k makes my psoriasis worse. high dose lucy ed is causing some noticeable circulation things for me at time. different chems for sure cause skin issues.

i used to use nivea lotion all the time but they changed the formula and it didnt feel right. i stopped using it and only been using evoo since. put it on after the shower then put some hot water on your hands to rub it in well. then pat dry. fucks up the towel you use pretty good but skin is better then bottled lotion. back in the ca days animal had lotions that where better then anything else around. making lotions is on my to do list but its also a super pita. its not a back project especially if you can off some to ppl you know, girl with a salon or something. can make super high quality stuff based on natural ingredients with lots of sups and sell for much cheaper then high end lotions. works better too. until im ready for a new project im sticking with the evoo. i like the multi use aspect. lol

I've seen that look really bad after awhile. The dots blur and you can tell it's a tattoo from 15 feet away. One guy I used to see at the gym had it, and not only did it blur, it had a greenish tint. Not a good look, lol.

I assume you take Accutane for acne, have you tried tazarotene? Tazarotene treats acne and it can cause re-growth of hair. I use it for wrinkles, but I also put it on my eyebrows because my eyebrows were thinning, and it's made them grow back a little bit thicker.

That must have been a bad job and very poor ink used I’ve had it for 3 years now and no one can tell until I tell them. And I have a few friends that have it as well and no way you can tell. But again who knows where that guy had it done or what ink they even used

Dry skin and balding are unrelated, are you looking for help with the dry skin or the balding?


Is your dry skin on your scalp only or all over the body? Sun damaged skin will be dry in appearance.


Are you still using accutane at all? or 2009 was the last time?

Dry skin . My son's half.bro has eczema bad. His diet sucks I'm slowly converting him to healthy food I took over daddy day care basically. All he dies is use cerave or eucerin at best..he's 11

Is it all over your body or scalp only? Do you have thyroid labs? Are you still taking accutane? (if not, how long ago)


Try to answer all these questions and the ones in my previous post so we can figure it out. There is likely a cause that can be addressed but need more information.
