Now i'll speak in laymans terms as im a bit of a technofobe.

Basically im having problems with my dvd/cd drivers...On my desk top pc i put a disc in i wanted to rip but it fails to load, if you know what i mean. It just whirs for a few seconds and then stops and i can't go any further...Its not the full whirring noise as it used to.

I then went to do the same with my laptop and upon clicking rip in windows media playewr, as normal, it now comes up with a message that a driver is needed, DOH......
But when i go into properties for the dvd/cd it appears everything is fine, ie driver upto date, in working order etc???????

Kids deny doing anything as usual, despite always faffing about with music mixing and what not....

Anyone got any easy quick fix solutions please???

Regedit.exe

Migrate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Delete both UpperFilters and Lowerfilters values completely (do not just set the values to nothing), then reboot. You should be good to go after that.

For the key above , it will be up by the top. Just remamber "965" for the future and you will know how to fix the problem.

Awesome abs BTW Brabus, if you still have them.

Cheers Kaiser....However i havnt a clue where to start with what you suggested, lol...Was that for the PC or my laptop????

On a side note re abs, in ' off season ' mode but abs are g2g, well the outlines anyway, hahaha.
Here's a bizarre thing thats been noted. That pic is from me in 1996 having done a trial run of a show diet prior to competing. Now the thing is, in that diet i was more relaxed about the meals and also the cardio, ie as and when fitted in, with no timed structure, and they were my deepest abs. Now when ive competed, i get a bit anal with diet and cardio and end up panic dieting the last month or so. Whilst have good abs, its been noted theyre flatter.....

Guessing its 'cos im completely flat and depleted and as abs are muscle to, they also suffer....Live and learn..

Anyway, the dvd/cd driver????? Defo no techno....i can reboot the thing though, lol...:p

It sounds like you may want to take it to a computer shop and have it looked at ... maybe it needs to be replaced or the kids did something to screw it up which is typical of kids ... is this a new or used computer?
