I know he supposedly lost weight for the movie. That doesn’t change my opinion or anyone else’s.

it would make sense if he lost weight to play a golfer, he lost weight to play one of most juiced up and muscular mma fighters ever. the movie stopped shooting over a year before those pics came out. the pics of him in the mark kerr doc he looks kind of big and fat ...which is odd since mark kerr during his career was always very lean for a fighter.
but really dont care the rock is gonna lie no matter what, half his fans are nieve and he would lose millions...

his body took alot of abuse. Roids were the least of the abuse imo. the original documentary avoided the roids and gh and focused almost entirely on his painkiller use. he also was known to have a very unstable personal life. definitely was an interesting guy. i remember there is a scene in doctor office where woman in waiting room asks why he fights and he says thats he's good at hurting people but doesnt really like doing it.

I wonder if the downsized red carpet photos were post filimg where he did in fact downsize for health reasons after a push for the movie? These plain clothes "skinny" photos that wer post last month do not translate to the physique he appears to have in the movie. Purely speculating, but wondering if he pushed it for the movie, and then after filming dropped a ton of the mass. I mean we know filming vs real time are delayed by months+, not 3 weeks.

I saw something where he said he put on 30lbs for the movie so I think you’re right.

Personally I don’t like him and don’t believe anything he says so I don’t care either way.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been away from WWE for quite some time while committing to his acting career, and it doesn't appear that he'll be back anytime soon.
The Rock showed off his 60-pound weight loss after arriving at the Venice Film Festival on Monday. He's been shedding pounds in preparation for his upcoming collaboration with legendary director Martin Scorsese on a Hawaii-set crime film that also stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Emily Blunt, and is described as a blend of The Departed and Goodfellas.


According to a report from PWInsider (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), The Rock's weight loss and ongoing film schedule are strong indications that he won't be showing up on WWE television in the near future. He played a major role in John Cena's retirement tour earlier this year when he kicked off his heel turn, but it doesn't appear that there will be a resolution to that storyline.

In addition to his upcoming work with Scorsese, The Rock has also been promoting his latest film, The Smashing Machine, which was showcased at the Venice Film Festival on Monday and will debut in the United States on Oct. 3.
WWE fans have not been happy with The Rock's absence as Cena's legendary career nears its end, but it appears that they're going to have to get used to it.

I mean he’s right. He went to high school here. I know guys that played football w him and met a girl who dated him. No one had a bad thing to say. He still sends video messages to the team, shut tons of equipment, etc.

Idk how saying someone is a good dude is dick riding. Though I won’t go so far as to say he’s natural lol. But if I was him I’d say I was too.

The WWE wrestlers would train in my gym when in town for shows and they would definately fluctuate in size and condition depending on upcoming PPV or coming off injured reserve. I'm not saying they went off, but there was def variation.

We saw the movie, it was pretty good, a few slow spots, but The Rock really pulls of the role well. If you are into MMA, I don't think you'll be dissapointed
