I'd always heard to add essential amino acids to something citric to balance out the bitter taste.
The EAAs from TrueNutrition are economical, but that after taste!
Again I'd always heard to add the scoops to sugar free lemonade etc. For myself this didn't improve the taste much and as a person with gerd and reflux issues I'm avoiding all things acidic in nature.
Then by chance, one day I had a menthol cough drop in mouth and starting swigging down TN EAAs and surprisingly no odd taste and no aftertaste. Anything mint and menthol in nature seems to neutralize the bitter taste of amino acids.
Drinking my pwo with less then a qtr of preworkout left I recalled that I had not consumed my EAAs. Filled the glass with another 12 oz of H20 and added 15 grams of EAA. Stopped and and brushed my teeth. Popped an Altoid in mouth then drinking the EAA with little to no additional flavor, I can drink it down smooth with, again, no foul after taste.
Mint or menthol before EAAs, seriously give it a try.
