What drugs/meds are you currently taking? How's your cardiovascular health? How does your diet and exercise look like? Are you or have you been exposed to loud sounds at work/leisure? How old are you?
Are you maybe grinding your teeth (in your sleep)? Bruxism is associated with amphetamine use and can be a cause of tinnitus.Other than stopping the drugs, do you know of anything that can be done about it?

My ears have been ringing for the past couple of months, it's very annoying when there's silence around, trying to sleep.
Any info on this?
I've had tinnitus for as long as I can remember. Silence drives me absolute insane, especially when I'm trying to sleep. My problems started when I was a kid due to some nasty ear infections that wiped out a chunk of my hearing and left me with a nice, permanent ringing in my ears.
Having a fan running usually helps or using some other sound producing app on my phone as I'm trying to get to sleep. Falling rain is a good one for drowning out the ringing in my ears.

You and I don´t know what silence is brother, too much clubbing, concerts etc when I was younger has left me with permanent tinnitus, to add insult to injury I have delayed sleep phase syndrome, I go to bed between 11-12pm every night but basically fall asleep around 4:30 to 5 am and wake up around 7:45, I put on the radio or leave some podcast playing on my phone to keep my mind off the ringing. What´s funny is I´ve been known to fall asleep in the afternoon whilst listening to heavy metal on my headphones I wish the need for sleep hit me that hard at the appropriate time.
Im the same way. I finally saw a doctor and had them test my hearing too since I have some hearing loss. My loss isn't bad enough to warrant hearing aids, so that is good. The ringing though, there really is nothing they can do. just learn to live with it. He didn't make any suggestions. You get used to it after awhile. Mine have been doing it for years now. Pretty sure mine is from listening to music too loud. Concerts etc. He said the damage is cumulative, and even something like a lawn mower causes slow hearing loss. He said to wear ear muffs like you wear at he gun range when you mow the grass. I guess the small loss over the years keeps adding up.
