I've seen them in gyms but my current gym doesn't have one. I have just been using a smaller chain I was using for a home made pulley I made when they locked us out of the gyms. I put 2 carabineers on there so it loops down for the weight's. But now that I'm adding 70+;lbs it is starting to cut into my sides. Any recommendations, can I just get a bigger duller chain?

A rope dog lead is a good option.

Some are ideal as a basic dipping belt wrapped around the waist and clipped to the handle.

Dip belts are $30. Mine has lasted 20 years so far. Another option would be a backpack if you have one.

Picked up a cheap one from Rogue for $40. Works just fine! Is money an issue for you?

If you don’t want to spend the dough on a new one, use a pool noodle, and wrap it in duct tape. Put two snap steel snap links on each end and viola.

Easier way would be run a rope through the noodle and attach the snap links to the rope

I'm hitting the point where I'm stalling on my progress so may switch out dips for another exercise soon. Just need something to use for another few weeks. 90 percent of gyms have them figures mine doesn't lol

Spend the dough on one. I went through 2 before moving up to a quality one. People will spend as much or more on a meal at a restaurant, which lasts part of the day, than you'll spend on a dip belt, which lasts 20 years+
