hey I'm trying to figure out a way to cut the cost on my food bill! I eat super clean and high calories so my of course my bill is expensive!! I was walking through the store today and I saw whole grain flouer, dehydrated skim milk powder, and rice flouer for 88 cents a pound! So I'm bulking right now, if I could drink my food it would be way easier then eating it! I dont eat sugar and so I have to eat a lot of carbs to reach my desired intake. At the moment I do glyco-maize now but even that gets expensive.I do three food meals and three shake meals a day. I would like to possibly have my eggs and a flouer shake instead of eating 6 peices of toast as crazy as that sounds! what does everyone think about this?? it is ok??

1) if you want to do that because you're always full and feel like you are going to throw up while eating and want ot just drink it instead, you're eating too much. don't do that.

2) if you have to eat on the go and are on the road a lot, there are much better alternatives (taste wise) than eating flour and eggs in a shake, and it would cost almost the same.

3) if you are only doing this to cut cost... there are many ways to cut you grocery bill down than resorting to eggs and flour.

Why not eat rice? Rice is very cheap and very easy to prepare. If you get a rice cooker it makes cooking rice easy. Alternatively you can prepare your rice in a microwave. You can also make rice pudding or creamed rice. Rice and plain flour cost about the same.
 
I'm on the road all day on my job and one of the things I do is bring oatmeal and casein protein with me.After I eat a full meal I will pour some oatmeal in my shaker bottle with water and about an hour later it has dissolved enough to drink it at which time I add some casein to it,shake and chug it down.Oatmeal is cheap and really long lasting carb and the casein is slower digesting than whey.Just keep the water content high.Plus most delis by me sell hard boiled eggs cheap so sometimes all buy a bunch of those and eat mostly the whites and go that route for the protein.I do that throughout my workday for what its worth.
 
Rice, eggs, and oatmeal (can always toss whey in the oatmeal) if you want to stay cheap...if you are on the run well a protein shake is the best option or protein bars (even though they can be a bit expensive at times).

Flour and whey mixed together do not sound to appealing, but oats mixed with the whey in a shaker...I can handle that and it is quick.
