Eating At Work?

How many of you are allowed to eat at work? I am allowed to eat work... but some of my co-workers are a little pricks.. and complain about everything.... Some can understand the concept about my eating habits and some are just blind, ignorant, or just fat and nasty! .... My Boss is hell of kewl since is prior wife was a bb.. and she was Ms.Okinawai ,so he understand. So lets see.. when I bring fish or boiled eggs to work I have to eat it outside office... I understand the smell is not exactly what you call refreshing... but I hate getting up go outside and finish my meal and then have a stupid ass comment for my fat ass co-worker... "The smell is seeping into the office!" then my boss starts looking at me because of blubber mouth yelling about it.. and for some reason he is the only one that claims that or says it... maybe its me but I feel he is jealus..... I always have a problem with this doosh bag... I remember once I went to the gym during lunch and came back after some intense training... I know I was sweating and maybe a had a little funk/I really didn't know if I smell... but he was like you should take shower before you come back to work.. you all sweaty and shit... .. what a Fat A$$ ... I'm like that what deorderant and a towel for ass swipe.... 2 days later my boss is talking to me about shower procedures he couldn't even look me in the eyes ... I know that prick put him up too it.... My boss never said shit about me smelling or my other co-workers... lol!.. No one says shit when the office reeks from him openin up is 3rd demention asshole and letting out the ungreatful dead.. at one point I started using a resperator or like a gas mask thing.. cause it smell like he bowled in the office...... I know I'm far off the the topic.. but I wanna know if anyone have these issues with a jealous co-worker and are you allowed to eat work.. and if anyone have tips to make the tuna fishy smell go away.... Thanks!

Wow, Bro. Food at the office is a touchy subject. I am an office eater! I eat all day. But, I try to limit the smell. I think it is the smells that are getting you noticed around the office. The smell of the food, the smell after a workout. Maybe try and not eat the Tuna or hard boiled eggs where people can smell it. Maybe take a shower after the workout. I am one to work out, towel off and go back to work. I work in a shirt and tie. But I am not a sweater or a stinker. Some people are. If coworkers and your boss are speaking to you about the smell. Maybe listen. Not to be harsh, but is something to look at if more than one person is bringning this matter up with you.

They don't mind me eating all the time. From time to time they make comments. My boss said he can't figure out how someone so little and eat so much and stay little. The girls in the front office don't think it's worth it to stay on such a strict diet and be lean. My priorities are just different than theirs.

True that. Tuna and eggs stink! Just ask my roommate....you can't smell it when you're the one eating it.

When I am at work and I need to eat one of those Wal-Mart brand packets of tuna (45g protein), I go out to my car and rock out to my iPod while digging in.

I drink a shake at 10am and 2pm but at lunch I just eat regular food. People made remarks about the shakes too but I just laughed or explained what they were for. After a month they were used to it.

Edit: definitely take a shower if you have to work out during your lunch break

I guess nobody is going to argue with me, unless it's myself(I own my own business) When I did work for someone, I would put all my food in a big cooler, out in my car, and that is where I ate it, when I went on break. Hygiene is important, bring a toothbrush and paste, if you are going to eat tuna.

I would never work for someone if they didn't allow me to eat whenever I wanted. It's one of the main prerequisites when looking for a job.

i take it your bigger than this fuck?? i would eat tuna 5x a day some day just to push him over the edge...if they get on you about eating more than the 3 meals aday, say your hypoglycemic so youneed small meals thru out the day..

Sounds like your problem isn't the eating, but the fat bastard who keeps making comments. In all honesty, the next time he made some comment about the smell of my food, etc., I would make a comment about his weight.
As far as eating in the office goes, I do. I keep a cooler filled w/ food and shakes at my desk. I'm a litigation specialist for an insurance company and even bring my cooler to mediations with me. It typically makes for a good casual topic of conversation and ice breaker. The only place I don't bring it with me is to trials/court. I do try to be respectful of others though and don't bring anything too smelly. Also, on the rare times when I have to workout during lunch, I do shower after. Just for my own comfort. Otherwise, I would be soaked w/ sweat at work. However, I know others who do not and as long as they don't smell, I don't see a problem with it.

Right now with my carbs so low and I'm so close to my competition. When it starts getting time for me to eat, people in my office are probably thinking... give the girl something quick before she mames someone.

Do you know when it's time to eat before you even look at a clock? I can. I guess its my blood-sugar dropping, but it's just like clock work. Then when I run late on my meals I start getting edgy. I hate that a feeling.

My God! talk about roid rage..lol... when I was like 2 weeks out from show like 2 years ago.. I warned him... "don't fuck with me.. I need peace and serenity..." He didn't listen and pissed my former bestfriend off... make a long story short... even though it was justified reasons... he got fired for zero tolerance rules.... can't fight among customers.... ... I was shocked because fatboy started the shit... and I knew If I want at him.. I was not going to stop!... Crazy!... The guys is looking at me right now while eating 10 donuts and coffe.. I wonder what he is thinking.. this such a stress reliever... muah ha! ha! ha! :devil:smi .. he already had like a mini heart attack at work... I'm a reservest Marines Medically retired... so is he.... and everyone is Retired High ranking.. so we are all civilian marines... The Fat A$$... I used to work for him in Iraq... I wasn't the brightest lightbulb.. but once we got hit by mortars.. Indirect Fire... I ran for cover and forgot my rifle... I went back when I got the clear and my rifle was gone... he found it.... my life was a living hell..... He fucked with me.. to the extreme... yea I know I fled... but we was sitting down in formation... my weapon was lying on the deck and my first thought was run for cover.... So he fucked with for a long time.. I knew him when he is was school for training.. No one likes him.... and he is super snobby.....Make a long story short.... After all those years.. I see him and refered him because he knew his job pretty well... well guess what it backed fired... and he just goes on and on... even his bestfriend can't stand him.... over the past year he stop fucking with me.. but he gets and itch and I just ignore him .. and I say.. are you done yet!.. well good I hope you enjoyed yourself.... he gets the hint.. so he is cautious what he says.. but still a little snitch bitch

Not only do I eat in my cubical, but I also eat in any business meeting that lasts over an hour and the ones that happen to be at the same time as my next scheduled meal. I have never yet had any problem with this. When the occasional eyebrow gets raised I explain that when my blood sugar drops I am not as sharp mentally and that a dull witted Applications Developer doesn't do anyone much good.

No one has seen fit to argue with my reasoning yet....

ha i work 12 hour swing shift and i eat whenever the hell I want to eat, my co-workers call our kitchen my office because thats where i am so much of the day, i can sometimes eat probably 5 to 6 of my meals at work some days, so im in the kitchen a lot. My co-workers just laugh and say im doing what i do best.... EATING! they are completely amazed at the amount of food i eat and sometime get on my nerves staring over my shoulder down into my plate..LOL
