Just want to pass the word on to as many people as possible. There are tons of scammers on ebay trying to steel the items you might be selling. They buy your item then unregister there account. This way they can say they need you to send your payment info. Legit buyers will buy with the pay now option in the ebay account. Unless you have arranged for other ways to pay. I had a scammer buy the laptop I had for sale. He unregistered then asked for my PayPal info to pay. It jsut and email addy so I gave him the info to send payment to. He them made fake emails from payapl to make it look like he paid. In this fake mail he said I needed to send the tracking # for the money to be transfered to my account. The emails all looked very legit. There are a few things to look for though:
1.Paypal will always have your full name in the header.. ie dear john doe, not dear john, mr doe, seller, buyer ect... It will always be your full name.
2.Paypal email have the secure check out tag on the email in one of the corners.
3.Paypal does NOT need the tracking # to verify shippment. Once a legit payment has been sent it is in your account..
Just want to pass this along to help people. If you find it valuable then pass it on as well..
