edema/water in feet/legs bc of kidneys

Last year on another board a member went through a similar experience and he believes that it was related to additives in the generic HGH he was using. I figured it was probably more than one variable, plenty of guys end up with kidney problems without using PED's, add them and speed up the decline. Certain populations have more issues. Blacks especially have high rates of kidney disease. He was looking at dialysis and a transplant the last I recall.

IIRC, he kidney function declined very rapidly.. and it was concluded that he had developed some sort of autoimmune disorder

Eating some extra salt and drinking a bit more water is not self medicating. Its called hydrating, lol. A long as he doesn't start drinking 3-4 gallons a day im pretty sure hes ok here

The least invasive number one treatment for peripheral edema is sodium and water restriction, along with raising the extremity above the heart.

I'm just trying to help the guy out. I've done this a time or two.

...gonna listen, thanks!

Gonna ramp up salt and water for the next days just to see if something changes. Also raising legs over night and during office times + cooling.
Taking magnesium and potassium every day and had well flavored meals the last days so ...

If your kidneys aren’t processing/filtering potassium, you don’t want to supplement extra.

My ideas: You shouldn't be running tren.

With that being said, it's a good thing you're working with your doc. I would try to see a specialist and put a sense of urgency into it. Let them know you're concerned. You don't want this going untreated for long.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for your kind words and advice guys!

HRT for me from tomorrow on, feet up and maybe cold cloth around my ankles.
Guess I can't do much more until bloods come back...

Question: If one plans to inject 250mg TestE at once ...which interval for moderate HRT? Right now I do something around 130mg TestC e5d ...subjectively maybe not enough though I do fine right now?

Could you please explain the mode of action here?

I am diagnosed with CKD, probably from high BP and AAS use. You said you are on a BP med, there is the chance you did some damage to the kidneys but as everyone has mentioned without the blood test and better yet a 24 hour urine test you are guessing. When I go to my BP/Kidney specialist, he always checks my ankles for swelling so you are on track.

Helps to alleviate symptoms and prevent worsening of fluid overload while the proven root cause is treated.

Excessive heat coupled with dehydration can in some cases cause edema. Are you doing a lot of standing or lack of movement throughout the day?

However the event, as others have said, your physician is well suited for this.

Ok you've lost me now sorry ...dehydration might be the case and your suggestion ist to restrict salt AND water?!

Stewie, thanks for chiming in: I'm sitting a lot during the day and can def. imagine that this intensifies the problem.

Update: next morning right now ...my calves hurt a little but less water/edema ...might be b/c of elevating my feet slightly over night.

do you have any other symptoms? (shortness of breath,...)
Edema elsewhere? (eyes, abdomen,..)
could be heart or kidney issues, both things that are not really good to have.. on the other side, could be heat / hydration related.
Did you switch any of your medications lately? (BP meds for example,...)

No sir. Also checked for other edema but can't find any really ...had the impression yesterday that there might have been something on my cheeks but honestly ...no. If so, just to a very a small extent.

I thought about a heart issue too ...it seems unlikely b/c I never had issues with that. On the other hand there have been the mentioned kidney values which made this option kinda more plausible in my eyes.
If heart rate and ultrasound of the heart are fine ...I gotta do a stress test right?

No switch in medications for a longer time. I'm prescribed valsartan (I hope it has the same name in UK and US?) as well as a combination of valsartan and HCT which I can take alternatively. Doc and I figured that the combination isn't needed anymore so I don't usually use it. When the edema came up I replaced the valsartan80 with the combination to get rid of the water.
O/c it's additional stress on the kidney afaik but the doc agreed on this so I will keep on taking it for the next days.
