Is it normal to have elevated bp after a workout? I have prehypertension with bp at 122/86.
My resting bp is normal.
Is it anything to be concerned about.
The only thing I'm on right now is Clen and a low dosage of 60mcgs

I'm wrong, all physical activity increases blood pressure. So it could be elevated immediately post.

Shit, I would love to have your blood pressure!

as sluggy stated BP will be higher after any activity. I take my BP daily after workouts its always higher than normal

Thanks for the input. I haven't taken my BP (except at doc visits) for a while since I have been off everything for the past year while a hip problem was getting fixed.

So tomorrow morning I'll take it again before doing cardio and start a daily log.

Getbig what do you use to do yours everyday? Standard cuff and stethoscope or a stand alone electronic one or for phone app?

When I go to the doc they always like to check my bp when I am rested .they don't throw the sleeve on me as soon as I walk through the door .after exercise your bp will definitely be elevated so that wouldn't be an ideal time to get an accurate reading

At 122/86, your bp is still within normal range. You are not hypertensive, so no worries. As for bp increasing after working out, yes it happens because you strain yourself during intense activity, therefore increasing heart rate and bp.

What is your diet like...I know celery and milk helps lower Bp...try throwing that into your diet.

Until this last month it's been shitty. As I haven't been lifting due to and injury and surgery. But now I have cleaned it up. Cut out sugar and processed foods. Been doing 6whites 2 whole eggs for breakfast.
2 cans of tuna for second meal
Chicken salad with olive oil and 6oz chicken 3rd meal
Rice and beef patty for pre workout
And dinner is usually chicken of fish. With potatoes or rice.
I haven't been eating a lot of veggies. And to much dairy give me the shits.

I will throw in some celery though.

Ok good question

Depending on your arm size you need to make sure to get the right size cuff. I have to use the thigh size one to get a accurate reading so yes cuff and stethoscope. Tried the wrist cuffs and they are not accurate. I also take my readings 2 to 3 times a day and average them. Yes anal I know

Also if you are looking to get some supps that I found that help are:

CQ10
Flaxseed oil
Baby aspirin
Cialis: Only if it gets high during a BLAST
Also found that L Arginine helps too take it 3 times a day found that it lowered it some but really I take it for Pumps etc

That's absolutely important...Make sure they use the big cuff if you have a larger arm! The wrist cuffs aren't accurate.

As for the OP...Are you saying that your normal BP is 122/86 or your post workout BP is 122/86?

I was saying post workout. And it always seems to read the same on electric BP machines but when done manually it's always less
