ANY EMAILS WITHOUT ANY JUST CAUSE

WOULD SOMEONE LIKE TO WRITE A FORM LETTER WE COULD CUT AND PASTE
AND EMAIL TO OUT SENATORS

Yep. They are now borderline infringing upon our privacy and rights because of all the terrorism going on calling it "national security". Not much we can do in this situation unfortunately.

My (admittedly limited) understanding is that the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) of 1986 permits emails to be read without a warrant, and without review of reasonable cause by the courts.

The house and senate are scheduled to review ECPA soon. Is this what you're referring to? So, it would be appropriate to encourage our senators and representatives to upgrade ECPA and put in privacy protection.

Probably the best way for you and I to do so is to at least sign the petition re: the same over at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The petition can be found here:

Even better, donate to EFF. They're really the only ones who are working hard to protect our cyber-rights.

this is funny, people thinking laws can stop govnt intrusuion on privacy.
i know a guy, if you knew what he's done and is currently doing, with the full support of the alphabet agencies and now corporate support vis a vis security/espionage, etc, you'd wanna go live in a cave.
there is nothing, nothing! to stop the feds from doing whatever they want. the only caveat is the stuff they get illegally cant be used in court. but they sniff out the ether to find stuff worth going after, then use mostly legal tactics to get the bad guys. sometimes illegal methods and threats, too. ask anonymous members....
