Endo vs family dr?

Any benefits to me seeing a endo vs my normal dr.?

My dr had me on 150test/weekly

Your reg doc is probably cheaper. 150mgs/week is a nice TRT dose. Are you not happy with him?

Yep at 150 EW I really doubt you would get much more. The most I have seen is 200 ew

No, I'm pleased with my current dr and how he adjusts my TRT.

I just didn't know if a endo would be worth the trouble just too see a specialist.
If there are no benefits, then I'm good.

I think if you are comfortable with your primary I would just leave things be

I'm curious about this as well. I wanted to go get my test levels checked and don't quite know if I wanna see an endo or my family doc. I have really good insurance so cost doesn't really matter. Would a family doc just prescribe androgel or would they possibly give you actual injectable test? I would prefer injectable. What does an endo normally prescribe? Gel or test e/c?

It just depends on the family dr. I would start with your family dr and if you are not satisfied they can refer you to an endo. FYI most endos do require a referral and it takes a while to see them. I saw an endo and was so dissatisfied I switched back to my primary care physician

Cool man thanks. I really like my family doc and feel like I can talk about anything with him and would have no problem telling him I would prefer injectable over gel.

They may not let you do it at home right away but most endos don't either

This was true with my doc. For the first 10ml I had to come into the office and have the nurse do it.

Then they gave me a quick lesson, had me do one in the office on my own, and bingo... I was on my own.

I will say this, the first time I did it by myself. I bet it took me 10 min to actually break skin

Now, its just what I do. Rotate quads, I have used 23 and 25g, prefer the 23's as the 25s take forever to inject.

I saw my Fam dr. Got blood work done and had low t levels but because of my age(at time I was 33) my Fam dr would not give me any kind of trt. I ended up going to a men's clinic and got my help there. Really cool people just a tad bit pricey. I have since been doing my trt my self and saving a lot of cash

I'd be happy as a lark if I was prescribed 150mg's a week by a primary. One of my first trt doc's prescribed me 100mg's every month....pffftt, yeah that didn't last long.
