I drink about 2 sugar free monsters/rockstars a day...and 2 cups of coffee in the morning...and sometimes a preworkout....the shit is bad for you. i'm currently trying to cut back. it sucks that they taste so good!
4C Energy Rush packets.
Basically the same as a Monster but it's 18 packets for $3-5 depending on what sale is going on. I wait until they are $3-4 and buy 8 boxes so it's like getting 144 Monsters for $25-30
I think most information now points to energy drinks being unhealthy.
You might already know that energy drinks can screw with your sleep, make you gain weight, or even spike your blood pressure. But overarching evidence suggests they may lead to substance abuse, mental health problems, a higher diabetes risk, tooth decay, and kidney damage, too. Not surprisingly...the sweet stuff may be to blame. Energy drinks typically contain high amounts of added sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, and artificial sweeteners. In fact, an average 500-milliliter/16.9-ounce can contains roughly 54 grams (g) of sugar, the review found, which is well beyond the American Heart Association's recommendation of no more than 36 g per day for men.
I used to drink like a pot of coffee per day; Then I switched to to drinking a large monster / rockstar every day until I found out my blood sugar levels were getting high .I have a history of diabetes in my family so maybe that's the culprit to the high levels, etc. Either way I've pretty much scrapped energy drinks other than sugar free. And I like this "knock off " version of 5-hour energies : Tweaker. About 2 bucks cheaper and more efficient.
