Hey bros. I know we’ve had a bunch of threads like this in the past. I’ve searched this site quite a bit. Though If possible, I would like some input from some the experienced competitors on here.

I am in my mid/late 20s now, and have competed several times. Been bodybuilding since I was 18. Started using AAS 6 years ago. I qualified for Nationals just a few weeks ago, and I’ll be competing again next summer.

Now that I am only a few years away from being 30, my mentality has somewhat changed. I want to try to stay as healthy as possible during my cycles. My supplementation has always been lacking. Up until about a year to a year and half ago all I pretty much took was protein,creatine, prework out and a multi. Nothing else lol.

Here is what I am currently taking:

Multi
Whey
Creatine
Pre-work out supplement
Omega 3 ( 3g of EPA/DHA per day)
COQ10 200mg per day ( for heart health )
Vitamin C ( 1000mg post work out )


What else do you guys recommend? I will definitely be adding a Greens supplement to the list very soon, just because I generally eat very little fruits and vegetables. Though aside from that, what else would you guys add that would not only be helpful to me as a bodybuilder, but also help keep my overall health in check? I’ve seen bodybuilders pull out a list of 30 different supplements that they take year round. I am not looking for something like that...just maybe 3-4 other supplements which would be truly helpful, such as Omega 3.

Another thing I am really looking for is a true joint supplement. Over the years I have tried high dose cissus, msm, glucosamine and chondrotin, with zero results. I’ve noticed that the anti-inflammatory properties of Omega 3 has helped somewhat, but it is quite marginal.

Anyhow, I’d love to hear back from you guys.

I saved this post... It was a response from Dante Trudel in a similar thread. Its a big list though but you can research each and narrow it down to the 5 or 6 you want (not saying this is the end all be all of lists though)..

Since Knight9 likes me to list it every once in a while this is what i do supplement wise (and the main reason i use it among other health benefits)

Dandelion root (natural diuretic)
milk thistle (Yea i know people dont think much is assimilated ...I think it does)
Quercetin (anti oxidant and too many positives to list)
Citrus Bergamot (HDL/LDL blood sugar etc)
Zyflamend (prostate)
Grape Seed Extract (cancer prev)
Saccharomyces Boulardii+MOS (pro-biotic)
Multi vitamin
Tudca (off of it now just run it every once in a while--liver)
Boswellia Serrata (cancer prev-pretty amazing--also inflammation prev)
Magnesium (multi of reasons...taken it for years hardly list it but usually its because it helps muscular pain IT band/back tightness cramp probs)
Zeaxanthin (eyesight with e3g/lutein)
Ubiquinol (isnt a bodybuilder on this earth who shouldnt use)
type II collagen (only supplement that regenerates collagen)
Bio-curcumin (cancer prev/cardiomyopathy...when i list these it doesnt mean i have it...i have no cardiomyopathy, blood sugar probs or cancer...its used as preventative maintenance)
Pomegranate (anti cancer)
Lycopene (prostate health)
vitamin D3 (myriad of benefits)
Ginger root (digestion and anti cancer)
Super K2 complex (vascular health etc etc etc)
Allicin 6000 garlic (anti cancer and immune)
Ult 10 Probiotic (potent pro-biotic..take this at nite the other in morn)
Pregnenolone - many many benefits but im seeing how it regulates things hormonally in my case via DHT

(i think thats it might have missed something)

before bed baby aspirin/melatonin (sleep and anti cancer)

IP3 (try to take this separate from everything else because of conflicting literature...but i use this as an iron chelator and anti cancer)

I experiment with new things from time to time

Also thoughts on nac vs tudca for Liver support for during cycle and off cycle liver recovery?
