Estradiol is 808 in a female.!!!

My wife's coworker had labs done Monday , she's been struggling with weight loss for a while and the last month has all but stopped , her Dr had a full panel run to check all hormones.

Her estradiol is 808.

I've never heard of it being that high , highest I've ever hears of in a healthy female was in the 300's

She has been taking 20mg nolvadex for a year now (prescribed by her GYN)
The only thing I can figure is that the nolvadex binding to the receptors is causing a high let level of circulating levels. Her GP wants to put her in arimadex to lower the level but gonna see what the GYN thinks. She asked me because she read that some female bodybuilders use nolvadex for the end of prep for getting really lean but I've never heard of them running it for more than a month or so at the end of prep.

Has anyone else heard of a woman's estradiol being that high??
Could it be that it is actually from taking the nolvadex???

Is it pg/mL or pmol/L? is the estradiol test an ECLIA or LC/MS assay? (You can check all these things on the lab result; unit of measurement and assay)


It's possible to see an 800 pg/mL on peak day - ovulation, but it's also possible the nolvadex SERM got picked up as estradiol in the blood work. (if it's ECLIA assay)


If it's 800 pmol/L, that's not super high. 1000 pmol/L is only around 300 pg/mL

The paragraph at the bottom kind of suggests it may be ECLIA

If she can send a bigger picture, you may see ECLIA or LC MS on there somewhere.

Mine was in 1000s a on trt only. Did. Lc ms ms test, came back within range
