Evacuating again !!!

Second time in less than 15 days, it is 4am and I on my way with my wife, family and friends to Misissippi, 5.30 hours driving again. This time seems like we will have serious demage from winds and fload. We boarded up the house yesterday and let's see what happen at our return on sunday.
Our house is in the highest place of Lumberton so the water can reach it.
Port Artur and some areas of beaumont the say it will take years to repair the demage.
Let's wait and wish is not thay bad.

Good luck Heinz, Be thankful you at least get to evacuate. I remember back home during all the typhoons all you get to do is bunker down. Flying tin, cars flipped over and concrete power poles knocked down. Be safe and hopefully soon it will all be over.........

I am already in Jackson Misissipi. It is amaizing all the people that is here running away the huracain. All the hotels are full and restaurants as well.
I will look for a gym tomorrow for my leg workout.

good luck bro, hope everything works out and you can recovery anything you lose. i live in corpus, we all got scared, at first it was predicted to destroy this shit hole town, so everyone boarded up and took off no san antonio, dallas, austin and houston. i was all prepared to get in my truck and take off when it turned north. my friends and family are all over houston and preparing for the worst.

Just when you thought gas prices were going down they now jumped up another 26 cents per gallon on average nationwide because 1/4 of our nations gas comes from Texas and the gulf region where their oil refineries are all fucked up now. Sucks, I feel bad for the people who had to ride the storm out because they couldn't afford to relocate.

So Heinz...I've been watching the news about Ike. How was it in your area?

It was very bad around the beaumont area, a lot of destruction, the power will be out for 4 to 7 weeks and there is where the gym is so we don't have place to work.
The good thing is our house doesn't have any demage and we have power in lumberton.
We are driving back today so hopefully we find everything ok.
