I am liking the integrity...
...I am seeing in these posts, and no "Massiveone" - I am far from being a gay porn producer (LOL) looking for "talent". I like to present controversial topics.
My brother's statement the other night really got me thinking - and it boggles my mind to see and hear what people will do for a buck - or for 15 minutes of fame.
Look at what these people do on these "reality" shows that are so popular these days - I caught the tail end of this drivel on ABC last night called "Are You Hot"....and I couldn't believe the premise - looking for America's "sexiest people"...as though that "quality" was uppermost in priority. The losers actually cry when they are eliminated.
It makes me wonder about morals and integrity in the world today.
I also posed this question to see what the rest of the world thinks - our actions determine who we are - National-level athletes of all sports have a responsibility...like it or not, the actions of a few can determine the validity of many. Whether you are a spoiled, bratty tennis player or a bodybuilder selling your "sexual wares" - your actions reflect others, and your actions are a determining factor for the viewing public.
Bodybuilding is becoming more "underground" all the time. AAS usage is one thing, as it has manifested itself in many sports - while moral character and personal choices is something else again....
Bodybuilding will never become an Olympic sport, in my opinion - and not just because of the androgen issue.
It is nearly impossible for a person who is involved in movie porn - gay or straight - to make the transition to mainstream movies, and having acting acting talent is not the only issue.
I have a mentor - a man who, in my mind, represents everything I would like to be as far as bdybuilding goes, and as a human being...
He is a national-level competitor (top five too!), but it is his character - how he lives his life that makes him special in my mind - and my heart.
He is wholesome, without being holier-than-thou - he has integrity. He would never "sell his soul" to gain fame and fortune because it simply is not who he is -
He realizes that he has to look at himself in the mirror when he shaves - He has to live with his decisions. I like that concept.
If my post sounds cornball - so be it.
I happen to love bodybuilding, and it needs to be defended.
