Anyone successfully cut on high carbs and low fat? Or is this just wishful thinking?

Pic in my avatar I was dieting on 250g of protein and 350g of carbs. granted, i was using GH/insulin/IGF-1 lr3. So i needed carbs. fats were trace.
 
Depends on genetics. It's also less healthy to cut out all fats.

Do you think 30g is too low? I'd get that mainly from fish oil.

My reason for asking this is because I just cannot bring myself to do another low carb cut. Call me weak or whatever but the low carbs absolutely rape me.

It depends. Sounds low on paper but if you're really suffering on lower carbs, do it.
 
i cut 2 inches off my fat gut in 3 weeks when i went high carb. made my cardio easier and i could go harder and longer.
then again, its all about cals in v cals out.
no matter what.
else a pizza diet, a subway diet, a twinkie diet...wouldnt have worked. yet, they did. and do.
 
Ryan Terry claims to cut on pretty incredible levels of carbs. I don't get it.

I ve and won t never go under 0.8 to 1 g of fat per kg of bodyweight.

carbs depend about metabolism, if you do or not cardio.....and what you use to cut!!!
if you re too high, you won t cut, if you re too low and for a long time you lose some lean mass.

i seem to get fat on the "recommended" fat levels for average people and i'm running gear, gh, everything else.

i much prefer higher carbs and keeping my fats in the 40-50g range.

the only thing i liked better about higher fat and lower carb was that at the end of the day i still looked lean like i do in the morning versus looking more bloated at the end of the day on a higher carb diet. but the higher fat in the end put more onto my love handles and i'm not about that life.
 
There's no formula to any of this. You need to figure out what works for you.

Some people respond better to more carbs, and less fats (these people usually produce less insulin, have faster metabolisms and stay leaner easier).

Some people respond better to higher fats, and keep carbs around training.

And what works TODAY won't necessarily work in the future. :)
 
It feels good to have carbohydrates with every meal, but I was super hungry all the time

Protein and Fats are ESSENTIAL, Carbs arent.

You cannot live without protein and fats. You will develop problems if you follow a low fat diet or without protein.

Fats aid in Assimilation of Vitamins A et D.

Vitamin D is a Pre-hormone. Vitamin A lower Estrogen.

Guys running high carb diet on Gear is why they can do it. Without gear High Carb, low fat is a disaster.

Make sure to always have Protein and Fats in your diet.
 
Well, I can't but try. I cut well on low carb and looked the best I ever have - but it wasn't a comfortable life AT ALL...
I will run pro: 250, carbs: 300, fat: 30 when it comes to the cut.

agreed. but this is not a long term diet. Most use at least supplemental omega 3s during this time. i would generally get 30g of fat a day from what animal fat was had with my diet, plus am additional 7g of Omega 3s.

Slamming humulin IM twice a day preworkout doesn't allow a lot of time for lots of fat, and would be counterproductive.

That being said, I much prefer moderate protein, higher fat, low car diet for longevity in this sport at least. I was a hard gainer, and I enjoyed experimenting with different things. I also tried a version of IM fasting. Wake up, shoot GH, do an hour of fasted cardio, and continue fasting until 2pm. I would eat from 2 to 8pm, with my workout at 4pm, and continue than continue fasting. Got lean fast, and surprisingly maintained 90 percent muscle.

Obviously, drugs change the dynamics

Dont see how this would work for anyone. Carbs are an energy source and get stored. High carb will make you fat unless your running DNP. If you are running DNP the why not do low carb and maximize your cut. Think wishful thinking.
