Expired Insulin

I purchased my insulin this year. But only used it two ( four week cycles). I'd like to use it again but sometime next year ( March 2006).

Problem is that it expires Jan 2006. can I still use it during my March cycle or just toss and purchase more?

you can still use it if its benn cool and away from sunlight . i know what most say but hey i have some slin that is 8 months old never been in the fridge ,my house stays at 68f its still fine I know cause I have used slin for years . I can tell by feel ifs its good or not and mine is working fine . I think everyone worries too much . is it still unit for unit I dont know but it feels right or close to it .

From jan to march it will be fine as long as it has not been compromised by heat or direct sunlight. Priest is right 100%...

I would almost go a year out on an expiration date if hte drug in question had beeen properly stored. Expiration dates are conservative. Bsides I may be wrong but theres little harm in degraded insulin.

I think it would still be good too, but insulin is so cheap, even if it's not, just get more.

Thanks guys. Yes it has been in the refrigarator the entire time and under no sun light at all.

Thanks guys. I have been off slin ( currently ) for five months. Will go back on early March 2006. That will give me 8 months off slin so I should make so good gains.

But this time it's clean food instead of the fatty foods I ate last time when I bulked up to 282lbs. Thanks guys.
