Eye surgery tomorrow Mack

Hey everybody,

unexpectedly I have had an event occur in my life about five days ago. My retina became detached and is bleeding from my eye. I found all of this out today and I am scheduled for emergency surgery tomorrow morning with follow up visit Friday morning, and hopefully I will be able to drive home. Please just keep me in your thoughts. My surgery is it 10 AM tomorrow.

Never fun dealing with eye medical issues. What caused it to become detached if you don’t mind me asking? Did you take a blow to the head, or was it wear and tear over time?

First of all, let me say a big heartfelt thank you to all of you that read my post and made a comment. Thank you for your support and thank you for helping me feel confident.

I had a very successful positive experience today at the hospital with the surgeon. I’m in a hotel just a couple blocks away from the hospital in downtown Atlanta and I meet with the doctor at 7:30 AM tomorrow. Already decided to stay here at the hotel for at least two or three more nights and just watch Netflix movies paint my numbers use coloring books and take some time to eat really healthy as of.

Of course I am not allowed to train or do any weights. I canceled out of the contest. I was going to do in a few weeks however there is one final contest, I was going to do about a week after that and I’ve not canceled that just yet.

My guess is I’ll probably be back in the gym working out to a certain degree After this weekend again thank you very much everybody I’m hoping for a full recovery and that I will gain my vision back completely.

Oh, by the way, the doctor said that sometimes these things just happen you don’t have to be in a fight. You don’t have to have an accident. You don’t have to take a knock to the head, but quite simply he Said it just happens. There’s nothing we can do about it.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I’m assuming Grady Hospital did the surgery as they’re the most equipped here in Atlanta to do that level of surgery.
