can you count the protein that you get from say a Harvey's double burger (37 grams) into your total daily protein intake. i herd that fast food is not "real protien" just wondering some oppinions

ya why not. protein from the burger meat in the burgers is still protein. sure its probably not the best source of protein, so its probably not the most effective portion of your daily protein intake, but still none the less, it is protein. if youre worried about it, then I would count it, but dont let it count as part of the days protein, if that makes sense? If you are planning on eating 350g protein in that particular day, eat your 350g protein throughout the day, and then have the burger whenever, which would make your total 385 or so. that way you are getting your daily intake of high quality protein and not relying on low quality protein to acheive your days proper nutritional intake. Either way tho, its protein bottom line, so count it one way or another.

chick filet and chipotle mmmm nom nom nom nom

Count it, of course!

But don't forget either to count all the simple sugars and saturated/trans fats also contained in it...  ;)

Fast food is not real food. It's mainly a bunch of chemicals. That's why when you eat fast food your hungry again an hour or two later.

Lets say your hungry, so you eat fast food or any other junk for that matter. The hunger stops right? That's because your stomach is satisfied, but not your body. That's why you get hungry again an hour or two later. Your body is not getting properly fed. But you have all this junk you just loaded your system up with. This is why America is getting so fat. Or take bums and the homeless for instance. There's a joke going around about how if a homeless person is fat, he must not really be to bad off. Well, thats not true. Homeless people get fat, because the only food they can eat is cheap junk food from restaraunt and fast food establishments. Or they will rake up enough change to go buy junk food sold at convience stores. This type of food is causing them to get fat because it has no nutrional value. It's just chemicals and other sorts of shit. They don't even have to eat a lot of it.

There's way to much reliance on fast food. Nobody wants to cook anymore. The temptation is even worse with a new fast food establishment popping up on every corner. Too much convience. Then you have commericials with subliminal messages thrown in your face everytime you turn on the tube.

I prefer to stay away from fast food. If I want to eat something "heavy" and fatty, I'll just cook something myself. I'll cook up a big ol' pot roast with gravy and mashed potatoes w/ heavy cream and butter, cheese, or something like that. Atleast it's homemade and "real" food. I'd much rather eat fatty real food, than fast food any day of the week.

watch the move: 'Supersize Me' you will never want to eat fast food ever again

I actually got denied at IN&OUT burger for asking for a 5x5. I thought you can get as many patties as you want but it only goes to 4x4. I felt so fat :)

My buddy runs a slaughter house that has or has had contracts with all the biggest fast food chains, (McDs, Jack in the box, etc). He always would try to get me to come down there and check out the process....so one day I went.

As I was taking my tour I noticed a group of cattle, all were dairly cattle, skinny, very sickly, missing a leg, blind etc...in really bad shape. I asked "are those the rejects."

He replied "No, those are the fast food cattle. You don't get on the dollar menu being top serloin!"

This place was up to regulation, it wasn't like they were sneaking bad cattle in. FDA inspectors were watching and approving everything.

Its made me look at fast food completely differently.

Since then I wait for serlion or london broil to come on sale, stock up, and make my own hamburger. I swear it tastes much better and is leaner.
